Jordan Davis has repeatedly been dubbed a freak by NFL scouts and fans alike. That’s in the most complimentary way possible. At the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine, Davis‘ measurements lived up to his reputation.

“Jordan Davis at a slimmer (LOL) 341 is still a massive human being,” tweeted Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus.

Quote-tweeting NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, Sikkema was blown-away by Davis and his intangibles. Imagine how NFL front offices are reacting to the hulking defensive lineman.

As you can see, Jordan Davis could be a one-of-a-kind athlete in the NFL. His ability, athleticism and everything in-between translates to a player that comes along few and far between. There’s a lot to be excited about when scouting the Georgia star defensive lineman.

Furthermore, Jordan Davis put together a strong collegiate career at Georgia, and now he’s preparing for the next level. Currently participating in the NFL Draft Combine, Davis met with the media Friday morning and fielded a wide variety of questions from reporters – including who he models his game after.

When asked what player he sees himself as, Davis said it is John Henderson – a former defensive tackle for both the Tennessee Volunteers and Jacksonville Jaguars. While Davis and Henderson both played the same position, they’re also nearly the same size – as Davis stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 340 pounds and Henderson was 6-foot-7 and 335 pounds during his playing days.

Although Henderson is a player that the younger generation might not remember considering he wrapped up his playing career in 2011, Davis followed him throughout his life and is hoping to become the next version of him.

“One person that I really honed in was John Henderson from the Jacksonville Jaguars,” Davis said. “Very old name and not a lot of kids say that nowadays, but he’s just one of those guys when I first started watching football that I was drawn to. He’s one of those guys that I studied. At my age, he’s one of the greats.”

Davis – a former On3 Consensus four-star recruit out of the Class of 2018 – is coming off a strong 2021 season at Georgia, as he registered 32 total tackles and two sacks while helping the Bulldogs capture the College Football Playoff national championship. He’s projected to be a first-round pick by most NFL mock drafts.
