Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians fined for actions against Eagles

While the Buccaneers took care of business against the Eagles, Bruce Arians was the center of controversy after the game. During the victory, Arians caught criticism for slapping the helmet of Tampa Bay safety Andrew Adams.

As you can see, an enraged Arians was attempting to get Adams away from the opponent. Afterwards, his actions drew the ire of the league. However, Arians showed no remorse while speaking to the media, stating Adams was acting “dumb.”

“I’ve seen enough dumb – you can’t pull guys out of a pile,” Arians stated when asked about the play. “We just got a big play, great field position, and he’s trying to pull a guy out of a pile, and I was trying to knock him off of that guy so he didn’t get a penalty.”

Now, the NFL is taking action. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the league came down hard on the Buccaneers coach.

“Source: #Bucs coach Bruce Arians was fined $50,000 for his actions Sunday,” revealed Rapoport.

Many will feel like it’s too much, while others will feel like it should’ve been more. Nevertheless, Arians won’t be repeating his actions unless he wants to lose some more money.

On the bright side, Arians and the Buccaneers were able to win their game against the Eagles handily. Tampa Bay was never in much trouble, as Tom Brady and the offense took care of business for the team.

Now, the Buccaneers have one of their toughest tests yet coming to town. In what’s bound to be a tremendous showdown, the Los Angeles Rams will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. Earlier this season, the Buccaneers were defeated by the Rams 34-24 in Week 3.

Moreover, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford secured his first playoff win on Monday against the Arizona Cardinals. Now, he’ll look to keep it rolling against the Buccaneers.

The Rams will take on the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, scheduled to kickoff at 3 PM EST on NBC.
