As I said a long time ago, it’s not insurance. They can’t assess risk, so rates will continue to skyrocket because they know they have to cover people that are uninsurable. And now we all have to pay for it.

Over time, muslims are concentrating in smaller communities across the US where they eventually dominate the local political structure. It happened in Dearborn Michigan, Hamtramck Mi, Minnesota with the Somalis, Texas, Ohio, etc. In Dearborn they have mosques that loudly blare calls to prayer several times a day - which last 2 minutes. Non muslim residents who don't like it move, allowing more muslims to come and their local political strength to grow. It took a few generations but I know Dearborn and non muslims don't want to move there.
But Stoney says they are assimilating so it must be true. Maybe he should move to Dearborn, live on Osama Siblani street and experience the assimilation first hand.
ps. in Hamtramck, Mi the muslim city council in 2023 passed an ordinance allowing people to sacrifice animals like sheep or goats on their private property (garages, kitchens, backyards) for one of their religious festivals. Stoney should make sure he experiences this when he goes on his house hunting trip.

I'm not sure what you are getting it. Do people in religions follow practices I find absurd and oppressive? Yes, and for the most part they get to do it in America.
Is sharia law going to be meaningfully imposed in any jurisdiction in the US? No ... Muslims are basically 1-1.5% of the population (we have at least 50% more Jews here, and no one is following Jewish law outside of some Hasidim - highly observant Jews).
Anecdotal stories do not prove much. One illegal immigrant being a rapist/murderer is not a good reason to enforce the law against illegals - the fact that they aren't legally here is the good reason.
You are obsessed with the Venezuela apartment building. I thought the landlord had basically abandoned it, and it was set for teardown (it may be torn down by now). Obviously it's a failure on many levels to have Venezuelan gangsters collecting "rent" (really protection $$$, ala the Mafia for years in places like NYC) from the squatters, but the real problem was the fact that you had one group of thug illegals ripping off another group of scared illegals (who I believe were also from Venezuela, but you'll know better than me on that). The cops were likely not involved because victimized illegals are reticent to contact police.
I am largely with you that Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa (at least ones not very well off) are the least easy to assimilate into the greater culture. Rich Iranians ... and even less rich ones ... have assimilated lovely, though they are Persian (just ask them if they believe Persians are superior to Arabs lolololol).
(On the sacrificing live animals, I think the Supreme Court has actually had cases on this, and it's allowed where a legitimate religious practice. Some Hindus do it too, and Hindus are not hard to assimilate in the USA.)
I was just pointing out that some are practicing Sharia law. Doesn’t go much deeper than that. I’m not worried about it taking over our country.
The Venezuelan stuff is just a reminder that stone can see 100% proof something is happening and still deny it.
The cops were very involved. There were several articles that highlighted how many service calls they received to those properties.
