Carmichael Radio podcast reported second-hand info she was seen on crutches at some point recently. Though as others have pointed out, no crutches at the exhibition games and no clear brace. Best guess is lower body, based on rumor.

I was told by someone who was at a practice before the Davidson game that she was indeed on crutches. She told that person that she would be back real soon and the fact that she was not using crutches by the Davidson game seems to be a good sign. Let’s hope so.

Here is what CB said about CT. Toomey, however, “probably” would have still missed the game, Banghart said. The senior, who averaged 8.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Tar Heels last season, is getting “close,” Banghart said. Notice she said she is getting close.

That says nothing re what the injury might be. Hopefully not knee issue recurrence.

That is my point. We still do not know what the issue is. I am glad that you notice that too. That was the reason why I posted it to see if anyone else could figure out what that means. Close could be anything. It could be one day, a week, two weeks, etc. What we do know is that Gabby W and Sophie B will be playing.

I am out on all that. I will see players when they show up. I have zero confidence in any fan commentary. I start displeased. Toomey would be important. She has never approached the hyped level here as a better player. Maybe typical of Carolina fan overhype. Maybe injuries. Whatever I am a non believer until I see top tier play. Often overhyped here. Example Grant. Ended up supposed shooter that could not
play my opinion. waaay turned off by this program since the Sylvia title. Had high hopes for the coach when hired.

This should have been a quoted post. The post was directed at a post that was a cheap shot at me. That post has disappeared.
You apparently enjoy mediocre women’s basketball. IMO now slightly better than mediocre bb.
Some attended and graduated from UNC, and also financially supported their University, and believe the accepted standard for women ‘s basketball now is less than should be desired. Maybe you just weren’t around when Carolina was a successful national contender. Your thoughts are irrelevant to the team ‘s potential. Soft as self serve.

I dare say I have attended MANY more women's hoops than you, having been in Carmichael watching Marsha Mann play. As for financial support, I'm guessing I blow you away in that category.

Marsha Mann. I have been trying to remember her name. She used to come down to the Woolen Gym and play pickup BBall somedays with us guys on Saturday Morning. I was shocked when she came up to me the first time and said I got you Lol. She was good and fun to play with. The good old days. 1972/1973.

She is the Mom of the Vanderbilt WBB head coach. I forgot her name.

Okay Tarboy your talking about Woolen has causes me to realize that it’s finally time to confess one of my great sins; I have a Woolen Gym basketball. Somehow it followed me home one day. Hopefully the statute of limitations has expired on that one. Now I feel better.

Marsha played at Dunn HS I believe. Daughter Shea Ralph played at Terry Sanford High and was the #1 recruit in her class I think.

Thanks guys, I could not think of Shea's name. Her mom was nice and a good player.

6 String do you remember those gym shorts they gave you back in the day? You turned them in after gym time. Man were they skimpy lol.

While a student at UNC, I had a summer job helping to remove the original chair seats in Carmichael, and replace them with the bench seats. A set of three mysteriously ended up in the trunk of my car one day. They were mounted on my parent's deck, and remained there until the house was sold in 2005. Those very weather-beaten seats are now in my garage. Years later, I acquired another set of five in almost pristine condition that are mounted in my Carolina room. I occasionally sit in them, and am immediately reminded of two things... my rear end is significantly larger today than when Carmichael was built, and the seat width was much smaller than those in both Carmichael and the Smith Center today.
