Depending on how you wanted to structure it, I think the Mount Rushmore of American wrestling for a number of different reasons would be Dan Gable, Cael Sanderson, Jordan Burroughs, and Kurt Angle.

John Smith over Angle and it's not even close.

I think it’s closer than you’d think. If you ask the average person if they’ve heard of Kurt Angle or John Smith, even without WWE stuff I think Angle is more of a household name.

I had to look Angle's name up. I didnt follow collegiate wrestling back then or WWE. Smith has stayed very relevant to the NCAA and is more recognizable.
