Man, pop culture really did a number on you.
A woman has died. Rather than be respectful about it, you speculated that it was substance abuse driven, and pop culture caused. People tried to give you perspective, but you wouldn't relent. I simply noted the irony of a guy who has continually talked about his ingestion of substances wanting to make an issue of something like this, and try to attack an industry, rather than just respectfully remember the dead. But I'm the bad guy. Right.

It's kind of odd, but vicariously I've actually thought about "what if" I was a big star in movies or sports. What I would genuinely enjoy would be to isolate myself from the artificial crap that goes on every day (ANY Red Carpet, ALL Social Media, NO BookTours, etc.), Instead I'd try desperately to live a "normal" life in a rural place like Montana or Vermont and give Hollywood and NYC the middle finger. Maybe very unrealistic, but I would love to have had the opportunity to give it a try, Kind of the ultimate anti-Kardashian.
Some stars have done that. I am going to guess that to do that you have to be very well established. Living in Montana is great, but it leaves you out of the loop unless you already have the reputation to stay included.
It wouldn't take long to come up with a long list of people who were pushed into an adult world as children and ended up with serious emotional wounds. In the child-entertainer world, it's probably harder to come up with a list of those who didn't than those that did. Based on what I've read, Ms. Panettiere was tragically hurt through it all, and it's beyond sad that she passed so young and, apparently, before many of those hurts could heal.

Tougher to do when your career starts as a child and you have less than honorable adults "leading" you.
I would put Tiger in the same category. Unless every article about his upbringing is wrong, he didn't have much chance to be a kid either. Once dad saw that he had talent, dad also saw dollar signs, and doing normal kid things was no longer on the schedule.
That list is never ending and sadly many died even younger than Hayden. The cost of fame and bad parents.
Dumb post. 70,000 ODs a year + 40,000 suicides and they are not all child actors. Plenty of RNs, stock brokers, cops, firemen and military on that list.
And the prison time served absusive ex- boyfriend was on the scene when EMS arrived. No suspected foul play….yet.
South Park had a great take on this several years ago with Brittany Spears. The gist was that we anoint a young female star raise her up and then tear them down until they are dead to satisfy the ancient blood lust. Then the next ones is named. In the episode it went from Brittany to Miley Cyrus.
