Once again, I invite you to join the BWI College Football Pick'Em. With the exception of the 2020 year due to the pandemic, we've conducted a BWI College Football Pick'Em every year since 2001. As always, the competition is just for bragging rights. There is no entry fee to participate, and you don't win any money for winning the BWI College Football Pick'Em.

To join, CLICK HERE
(https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/college)

I caution again that the process I go through to set up a group is not the same as someone that is joining a group. As such, I'm not certain of the order of the joining process, so if any of the below is out of sequence, please post a corrected order and I'll edit this post.

From the above LINK, select the Join a Group pushbutton

From the Join Group screen, go to the right side.

In the Group ID# field, enter: 5115

In the Password field, enter "pennstate"

Then, select the Join Group pushbutton

(If any of the above is incorrect, please post as much in a reply, and tell me what needs to be corrected. As noted above, I don't go through any of the above to create the competition.)

At this point, you'll have to create a handle. In Yahoo's lingo, that is your "Pick Set Name." Please try to use your board handle as your Pick Set Name. (Note: I believe the default is to have your e-mail address viewable to all. If you don't want this, then deselect that option.)

I've opted for the weekly slate of games to be:

- the Yahoo default games AND the B1G conference games AND the Top 25 games

- tie-breakers will be used each week

- you get to drop your 2 worst scores for the overall competition (season-long)

- the deadline for entering selections is 5 minutes before the start of a game

I have not opted to pick against the point spread, or to rank your games by your confidence level.

If we look back at the 2025 season-long competition, these were the final standings:
1st - @Nittering Nabob
2nd - Yours Truly & @Offside Clyde
3rd - @Fac
4th – Coach
5th – @DP5 & @PSUAXE70 & @mickey_PSU
6th – @pennstater97 & @troutrus
7th – @Ngm5008 & @Dragons 62 & @RockyMtnLion
8th – @Nittany.Lion
9th – @Cigarowl & @CoolBean @1995PSUGrad
10th – @Rotzc & @40 Yard Dash

Note: If you register a handle that is inappropriate, or a handle that attacks or belittles a BWI Board handle, I will remove you from the competition. If you register an appropriate handle, but later edit it to a handle that meets the above criteria, I will remove you from the competition.

The competition does not start until Labor Weekend.

Best of luck to all that play!

Week 1 Results

Some really impressive results in Week 1. There were 41 points available on the slate, and many participants scored quite high.

@Cigarowl and @Lionville tied for the top score, with 40 points. Due to the tiebreakers, @Cigarowl took the weekly prize. @PSU Paul, @NEPA Lion, @Bob78, @chelbig22, @DP5, Ntlnfn (I don't know your handle), and Necessary Roughness (I don't know your handle) tied for 2nd place, with 39 points. Congratulations to the aforementioned, and major kudos to @Cigarowl.

As each contestant gets to drop two scores for the Season-long competition, I don't typically start tracking that until after the 4th week of competition.

The Week 2 slate should be posted later today.

I will note that my wife, "it's not fair", with 38 points, is tied with many others for 3rd place overall, but, in the absence of evidence that another woman has entered, she stands alone atop the female division.😉

Anyone else having a problem making this weeks selections? My wife can only choose 39 games out of 42. A completely white area obscures 3 of the games. She cannot see, or make picks on, games after Nebraska and before UCLA. They are Houston, Tulsa, and Wisconsin. It appears others may be having a similar problem, but with different games.
Update: problem resolved.

Reminder: if it says "I don't know your board handle," I can't align your PIck'Em pick set name with your BWI Board handle. Please post the info in a reply to this message, or in a PM to me.

Yes, I have that problem every week. It happens when I use my phone to make the picks. If I use my computer, that issue goes away. I hope that helps. BTW, glad to see you back in action.

Thanks Monterey. That does help because it explains, and confirms, how we solved the problem without knowing. My wife had indeed been using a cell phone for her picks and could not resolve the issue. She was about ready to give up but pulled up the picks on her laptop while she was doing other work. The entire slate was there so we figured the issue had been resolved at the site. Now we understand the problem and she will make all future picks by computer.
Many thanks! All the best.
