Great game, shouldn't have been that close. Three or four erant throws cost us some big plays. The defense needs to close on the ball and wrap up better going forward. And one thing is for sure, we seem to be much more organized. No wasting time outs and constant confusion like our previous coaches teams. Now we take a bye week to work on things and rest before the Tarboro game. Glad we came out with the win and nobody got hurt because it seemed they were really trying to take DJ out of the game.

Hertford may be better than previously thought coming into this year. Them being undisciplined isn't surprising though. Good win for the cougars in a physical chippy game.

Was told today the HC was lining up a kid with #11 at tackle and not covering him up. The coaches were complaining about it and the refs weren't doing anything, so we called timeout to have a conference to get it straightened out, but it should have been a penalty for illegal formation every time.
