JFC girls up 3–1 and Providence scores twice in about a minute to tie it in the 85th

Almost poetic ending. 15 minutes lets and he makes a bunch of useless substitutions (putting the “starters” back on the field!!) and the worst 10 minutes of soccer you could possibly imagine immediately ensue. In my own perspective, it looked like the team and staff had chalked this one up as a win already. Up 2 goals with time ticking down and you have players gambling on defense and taking ill-advised shots causing turnovers and easy counters? Im not blaming the players. This is a coaching and leadership issue that this type of play while still seeking your FIRST win of the year is acceptable, let alone the standard. What a joke.

Once again, Mike O'Neill proves what a sh1tty coach he is. Takes his foot off the gas up 3-1 and puts in a bunch of subs which tilts all the momentum to Providence. Then takes off his starting CB cause she is on a yellow...only to put her back on...wtf

And ..our girls still can't pass to each other...but would rather to pass to the other team or empty space

Some of these young players are very very promising (#3 has a lot of upside and looks dangerous!) but MON is a fkng awful awful coach.

No question this is on coaching and I don’t wanna hear anyone even remotely attempt to make excuses for this loss. Completely unacceptable.

Absolutely 0 feel for the flow of the game. Momentum was all in Rutgers favor for 75 minutes, and it all collapsed at the end trying to get too cute. All credit to Providence, they never gave in and ended up putting up a ridiculous shot total. Back line can not let up as many shots as they have so far, Bodmer is under relentless pressure game after game.

Oh she is but like I said in another thread she will not make a change in season, look how bad the women were and she still waited for the season to end
I think hoops maybe you can get away with it a little more? A lot smaller of coaching field to choose from in Field Hockey? Want to get it done before the winter recruiting season starts betweeen semesters (as opposed to have the remainder of spring and all summer)? That being said my guess is MON has "earned" - at the very least - coaching the program until season's end even if he knows what's coming down the pike.
