PSU- a destination school . ❤️

I retired (college mathematics professor) on New Year’s Eve 2020. Whenever I find myself with former colleagues they always always say “You got out at the right time.”

My former colleagues find it difficult and exhausting trying to make sense of the current situation, the whole blessed thing.

The parents might be partly to blame . 🙄

A very big deal.

*Checks cost of tuition, books, fees, on campus housing…now checking national ranking….*

Me to my wife, just now: “I wouldn’t be surprised if the university is the biggest employer in the city of Syracuse.”

My wife: “Probably.”

I was going to guess healthcare.

SIAP, haven't seen this before. PSU land lease to Greystar for on campus apartment like student housing.

When the university closes down in a few years, maybe they’ll convert it to a prison or insane asylum. Either should be an easy switch.

A verrrry long time ago,(1961) I was in the military. A thing called USAFI gave me an opportunity to finish high school and take college courses. I really only have an 8th grade formal education. I don't wish to coop this thread, but Thank the Lord and this wonderful country, I was able to retire at a relatively young age (50). I am humbled and thankful for the many opportunities this country provided. At 86 I remain a loving and proud American.
