...and why?

I guess I'd say OC due to Rocco.

The OC should definitely have the early advantage based on his knowledge of the players, the fact that he just got a major upgrade on the OL and he picked up some additional quality RBs, TEs and WRs. Most of the start skill players have prior experience in this offense, so it's a no brainer. Our Offense should be ready to go from Game 1.

Agree about Mouser, also Lustig (Special teams) has done very well even though he isn't new. Curious about Lynn's defensive acumen though he did bring improvement to the UCLA and USC defenses. First two B1G games will give us a better read on Lynn.

The question mark for me is Lynn. I don't think we have that great of depth on the DLine and not even sure about the starters. At DT I think we have one or two really big guys with experience from UCLA. Not sure how they will fare in the B10. Don't think we have much depth there. Under Franklin our DLines were average but not physical enough so we had trouble pressuring the QB and making many disruptive plays. I don't know if we will be any better.

One could probably make the argument that the offensive roster likely has more talent than the defense.

But certainly Lynn has a much stronger resume as a coach (which I think was the focus of the question) than does Mouser.

I talked with a guy over in Wesley Chapel whose son played HS ball with Rocco. He said Rocco is the best athlete he has ever seen. Nice to hear
