No, standard pizza slices are not triangles in Euclidian geometry. You will notice that in ordinary three-sided pizza slices the sum of the angles of the pizza slices is greater than 180 degrees. The great challenge of geometry up until 1830 or so was to try to prove the Euclidean Parallel Postulate by using the other axioms of Euclidean Geometry. (Euclidean Parallel Postulate: if you have a line L and a point P not on said line L there is exactly one line through the point P which is parallel to L.) The Russian Lobachevsky and the Hungarian Bolyai independently came up with geometries where the Euclidean Parallel Postulate was false but the other Euclidean axioms was true. Hilbert formalized it all in 1899. Fascinating stuff, it was my favorite class to teach. The enthralling thing about mathematics is the creativity and it’s easy to show this in non-Euclidean geometry compared with other subjects.

If you have to use that many words to explain why it’s not a triangle, it’s probably close enough to just call it a triangle.

Perhaps you can wizard me this. Trader Joe’s sells a frozen 30oz cheesecake, which like most cheesecakes is round. However, they claim it is seven servings. How does one go about cutting a round into seven equal portions using only normal kitchen utensils?

WTF do Hungarians know about pizza? You can’t properly cut paprikash. It’s like a mother-in-law questioning how I cut my grass when she’s never mowed a lawn.

I would think that only serial killers consider a mitre saw to be a normal kitchen utensil. You are also appear to be good at math. Causation or correlation?

My mother in-law once cut up two leftover slices of pizza into tiny pieces so it would fit into a small Tupperware container. The next morning as I was looking for the leftover pizza to take for lunch my wife whispered to me what had happened. I whisper-screamed at her, “Who the f*#% would do that to a slice of pizza?!?!?!??”. I’m still not over it.

If the outer diameter of a pizza is non-circular and random, can you define the shape of a slice? Even if you laser cut the slices, you have two straight lines connected by a spline.

You can describe any (round, square, whatevs, just no holes in the middle, ie, simply connected) pizza as being homeomorphic to the unit disc. So if you pick any two points A and B on the boundary of the pizza and cut two segments from these points to a point C in the interior of the pizza, then you’ve got a slice of pizza homeomorphic to the standard slice of pizza you see on the commercials. So, “shape” really doesn’t count here, they all boil down to being homeomorphic. The sausage is what’s important, not the shape.

The great thing about this is when you go on and on and on and on about this in the pizza parlor until your wife throws down her napkin and storms out you get to have the entire pizza for yourself.

Meatball Parm was great. I'm not crazy about the pizza style. This was the Jensen Beach location. Not sure if she works at the Stuart location as well.
