Joe Paterno was a great man that either 1) Made a horrible and tragic mistake in judgement, or 2) Was complicit in the crimes committed. Either way the impact of the failure to act was so egregious that it wipes out any other accomplishments IMO.

This is a terrible move by the University. It's a slap in the face to the victims.

Nike’s on-campus child daycare center was formerly named after Joe Pa. They name all their buildings after formative sports figures in their sphere. They thought there was a curse for awhile because they had buildings named after Tiger and Lance Armstrong at one point too. The childcare center obviously was the most dubious.
