Why the yellow card on a Duke player not involved with the infraction that caused the APC for NW.

First goal by Molly Nussbaumer was a beauty! Great run into the circle and assist by Hope.
I think we’re going to be seeing A LOT of upgraded penalty corners this season. Must have been an emphasis on the offseason to officials. NW and Duke had several. We’ve seen a couple in favor for Penn so far.

She had a knee brace on during warm-ups & was limited to passing.
I think someone last week here said 2 weeks estimated time.
FYI, Princeton watched/scouted this game from the stands sitting directly across from the visitor bench.

I would be surprised if EM, staff (maybe team as well for part of the game) did not scout Princeton too. After watching Princeton vs ODU - I am not as concerned. Princeton does move the ball well, especially for their first game. But ODU defensively is well below UNC… So we’ll see!
I hope Sofia carries the same confidence from the Penn game. Should be fun!

all of the 2028 top 10 have now committed. 45 of the top 50 committed. So this was a really important, all chips in, recruitment to maintain our string of top 3 recruiting classes.
I think the 5 for 5 rule is forcing a lot of players to commit early in order to fill up a roster spot for next season. We know when April hits that is when a lot of seniors are going to let their coaches know whether or not they want to exercise their 5th year. This is one of the advantages of that rule IMO. A lot of high school players will not be able to hold out or sit out for an extended period of time like in the past as far as recruiting is concerned. Go Heels!
I love this video. As we are know. This team does not like losing. They are young but they are very competitive.
We only find out when they or some recruiting website/social media chooses to post it. i highly doubt there are posters here who know the answer and just aren’t sharing.

And you would also have to assume at least one solid international as well. One could assume a minimum of two!

Thanks for the information. We knew that Princeton was a veteran team. This is why the are ranked number 2 now. Our team is the opposite of theirs in terms of being a lot younger as a team; however, our young women are fighters, they do not like to lose, and they know that each game that they play whether they win or lose is going to be a valuable learning experience to them moving forward which suggest these young players get it already after playing three games. Mark my word, they are going to get better and better as the seasons goes on. They are learning quickly, making the adjustments quickly and that is a very good sign IMO. These game is another opportunity for them to learn whether they win or lose. Go Heels!
We will need to make sure everyone inside the 25 has defensive pressure on them so Princeton can not rifle hard passes into the circle to create chaos. This looks to be their only game plan so far.
UNC has looked good. We needed Reese to finish that early look from Bruder. Looking pretty good otherwise. It does appear the indoor time for Bruder had paid off. I am still confused to why we are not looking to draw corners…
