I used to like Fieldhouse Al
Though over the top, his fandom was never in question

Then he started coming on here and berating people who had the gall to question St. Gregory
He then began to criticize those who didn't donate, while he himself wasn't writing big checks

He needs to come take his medicine

FugALzi doesn’t donate. He also doesn’t understand football or what a good coach looks like. He’s not thr only one here but he’s a problem.

Where is the guy who stormed Hobbs office for a sit in? Those guys, along with a number of people on this board should really never post again. Embarrassing

He posted on premium - recommended hiring Dan Mullen.

Mullen would be a home run
Met him in San Antonio on the Riverwalk during the 2016 coaches convention in January - super nice guy

Not the best recruiter but great X's and O's and the man can coach
Sign him up if available
I believe we tried to hire him at the end of 2013 and jettison Flood, but couldn't get the money for a buyout/incoming salary together. Other more connected posters with good memories may have better insight on this.

No need to bring him up. He is a Rutgers fan.

Btw, dont give him or anyone else any excuse.

Too old for arguing
Not arguing with anyone

But for amount of smack the guy talked, and how we was hosing others for their lack of donations, while he himself wasn't writing checks, doesn't jive

Either way, the rent's due

This is why you can bring up Al. He says the craziest stuff for attention and attention he gets. His attention seeking is his prerogative but coming in here and talking down to diehard fans who don’t “give enough” is laughable when we get dominated by a team with way less than us.

Al has been a fan and supporter while you were still in diapers.
While he is over the top at times nothing he said isn't true.
Bad losses are a part of sports. We had a bad loss.
Still need more NIL and a field house.
Now how do you know when they became fans was it in the

Now How do I know when they became fans. Was it in the Burns, Graber. Anderson, Shea, Schiano or Flood era. I agree with Al
On $$$ and the field house, disagree on GS being a good coach and I have been a fan since the early 70s.

Al is a big boy, if you talk the talk, don't hide when things don't go your way. Like I said I think GS is a horrible coach if he proves me wrong I will be here to take the beating. Come on Al it time to come outside and play.

I don't even care about that
He's obviously missing something in his life that a guy his age seeks attention to that level

What I don't like is him coming on here and preaching some bs while talking down to others and not backing it up with $$$
Just like with Greg getting cocky and telling us to "call our shots" after the Illinois debacle

Al is as embarrassing as Schiano's football teams. We need a complete reboot everywhere.

Do you really have to be a good recruiter anymore? Seems like you just need bags of cash.

Against my better judgement, I’m trying to keep the peace instead of being an I TOLD YOU SO MFer. IDK what Schiano had over those who defend him to the death. Im just hoping for a quick and painless season. Esp after a team that was 0-12 and lost over 50 + players did this to Rutgers.

Just got to put up with Schiano's BS one game at a time not much longer… Unless of course the mods are right and Schiano is truly the most untouchable MFer in all of sports.

You're probably right
It just really rubs me the wrong way when guys act holier than though and don't have a leg to stand on
End of the day, let's get GS out of here ASAP and move on

We'll see if the season keeps looking like last night.
Will she be pissed enought tp pasy the buyout , make someone interim HC and pay what it takes after the season is over to hire someone considered one of the top choices available.
Or will money temper her anger and have her wait till Rutgers could afford to pay the buyout and what it would take yo hire someone considered a great choice for the Rutgers job..

We can put Kelli on a pedestal, and maybe she might deserve to be.
But until we see some action out of her to fix this mess, we can only hope she proves she deserves to be considered the one who can bring in the type of HC that Rutgers fans can brag about .

Not staying status quo, keeping Schiano if 2026 turns out bad because , because Zinn feels Rutgers can't afford to pay for change and unable to to find the funds to pay off Greg and hire ine of the better candidates that would be available

Kelli might not like what she's seeing, but can she do something about it ?

As for Al, like him or not he's just another frustrated RU FB fan taking out his frustrations on this board and every board he goes to.
Maybe the petty insults members of this board aim towards him and others they don't like
might bring on the type of karma that leads to games like last night 🤔🤪

I doubt she has the power to make that call by herself.

I believe you're right and that's why I feel Greg will be staying on in 2027 ,even if he goes 4-8.
He might have worn out his welcome but Zinn won't have the funds given to her to pay for his ticket out and have enough bus fare left over to bring in someone that might be considered a good get.

PLEASE stop saying “bad losses.” Last night was a historically, all-time embarrassing, unthinkable beat down of a “bad loss.” Arguably one of if not the worst in our program’s history.

Umass isn't close to Rutgers in anything. It's why we paid them to come and presumably get their asses kicked. Umass' NIL budget is reported to be $3MM. Rutgers has somewhere around $25MM. Their operating budget for football is $16MM. Rutgers operating budget for football was $76MM and growing. Their head coach makes $1.3MM a year. Schiano makes $6.5MM. They are a MAC team. Rutgers is a Big Ten team. The only place where Rutgers doesn't absolutely smash Umass is the one place it matters. The scoreboard.

Nothing he said isn't true? Hasn't he been predicting this team would be good for, I dont know, 15 years?
