Big wigs in Lincoln have neither the brains nor balls to make a hire like that. Mostly likely they keep Rhule or hire another retread like Dan Mullen.
Not sure Vigen would even take the job at this point. This program is a dumpster fire.
If we can beat Ohio, we can beat Michigan State, Rutgers, Maryland, Bowling Green, North Dakota. That is six wins...only one less than last year and his career average. Most idiots would give him another year as we wouldn't want Nebraska to be viewed as entitled or think we deserve more than 6 wins over MAC quality opponents.

I'll tell you who I still have questions on is Dana. We scored 42 or 49 points today but I swear he does some **** all the time that just makes me smh.
After we went up two TDs in the 3rd basically just running it down there throat it was like he became determined to just pass the ball. Am I the only one who noticed that? Our WRs were dropping balls all over the place and we finally got the run game going and abandoned it.
I know we want balance and NEED it but not for the sake of being balanced. When u get em down put your boot on their necks. That gave them an opportunity to get right back in it and they did.
I hate all the talk about being a tough running team but then soon as you get up 2 TDs you get cute. I know most OCs think they are the smartest people in the room and Dana is no different. Simply put when you got something going...STAY WITH IT.

It will depend on how the 2nd half of the season goes. Another collapse and Rhule is gone but beat one or two of the marque matchups and he gets another year.
I was told in very clear terms as campus security was removing me from the AD's waiting room yesterday that I'm not going to be the head coach, no matter how many times I ask. So I know for sure one person who won't be.

I agree but I’ll give them a pass (no pun intended) these first 3 games. It’s possible they were trying out some different things, getting guys reps, etc once the game was in hand. And I’m okay with that.

I like Dana’s offense but I was thinking the same things yesterday. I kept muttering “run the damned ball”. My wife asked “ do you think they hear you?”.
I think it’s clear to most of us that with this O line and Rule and Nelson, we need to be a power run team. I don’t think Dana wants to accept that though.
I think a balance between run and pass is obviously the best IF you can be competent at both. Run/Pass balance keeps the defense guessing and doesn't allow them to overload on your strength.
if run working, keep doing it until they begin to stop it THEN pass. this is not something new

Lol. We have a revamped Oline, a new QB1, young rbs, a completely revamped defense. The starters need as much game reps as possible before we get to conference play. It was clear as day with all the penalties and a few miscues.
Only you would be upset about the starters playing after what they looked like the first 3 quarters. My guess is you would've been pissed we weren't getting our starters reps, if he would've sat them. There's no reasoning with someone like you.

The best way out of this is for Rhule to win a few more games. Win 7 or 8 this year, win 8 or 9 next year. Maybe everything is better here winning at least 8 or 9 games.
