Ego - he went out in the portal to bring in 3 mercenaries and damn if he was going to let a player already in the program make that look bad.

Nicely executed punt coverage. Special teams look better than last year. Would like to see it continue.

All 4 backs had very similar days rushing--hopefully the OL starts getting more push/creates lanes moving forward

Yeah we need to see that but last year vs worse competition, we had guys who we thought could light it up in conference competition like Allar, Singleton, DDS, Durant, AJ Harris, etc didn't look so hot. Coaching, mental toughness, discipline, motivation all play into it and I like what I see.

What in the world are you talking about? I’m quite sure no one questioned whether the Iowa State players could compete against Sun Belt teams…the question was whether they could compete in the Big Ten…I have always thought they could, but this game doesn’t answer that question…that’s what I was saying.

The RB position is sorting itself out as the game progresses. It is actually a position of depth. No one is outstanding but PSU is 4-5 deep.

I’ve never doubted they could play at the Big Ten level because I don’t think the Big 12 is as weak as many on here think it is.

I defended you originally but nope--you're on the same page as Marshall and the other insane Franklin defenders.

What? So now the ISU guys can compete in the B10? You just posted that we need to wait and see how they do in conference games. Get a grip.
