No, as preposterous as the notion of beating USC is, the biggest upset of this season happened on Thursday.
The media would not destroy USC like it is doing to Rutgers today.
USC is easily 2-0 and has already scored 81pts.

Still early and competition was not the best but they held SJSU to 3 until the 4th and shutout Fresno State last night with 100 some odd yards total, most of which came on their last drive.
I believe it’s quite a young defense but highly rated players. I thought it was strange they didn’t try to go for Kwiatkowski after Texas let him go but Patterson might be helping. Proof will be when conference play starts.
Anyone that thinks RU has a legit chance to upset USC is a master of self delusion. Let’s hope we keep it within 40 pts.

I didn’t realize Gary Patterson basically came out of retirement to be the DC for USC. Got the shutout last night. Lincoln Riley sucks balls but they have lots of talent.

Multiple schools have previously successful and highly regarded head coaches as their coordinators. It’s really impressive to see how college football has the money for that to be happening all over the place.
seems like the model now would be to get a offensive or defensive genius coordinator to become the head coach , they come in and run that side of the ball as the head coach , you don’t have to pay a few million for that one coordinator and then take the extra money and pair that head coaches with an experienced and proven coordinator on the other side.
The chances of Rutgers beating USC are about as great as the chances of Rutgers winning the national championship . ZERO.
It was good to see Patterson on the sidelines yesterday and very fired up. Great coach. Yeah if he can be the DC and Riley focuses on offense they could do well.
Man watching that USC - Fresno State beatdown reminded me how long ago that 2005 classic was when Fresno took that dynasty to the brink. One of the best games I ever saw.

Rutgers isn't beating anyone, including Howard, with that Defensive performance. If the defense has another game like that at BC, it means they are as bad as last year and we are talking a one win season. The offense isn't good enough to bail out the defense this year.
