I gotta say Washington looks very average. I didn’t understand where all the hype was coming from to begin with.
Good call, got banged up last drive and is on the sidelines being worked on. He may not even get a chance to play Iowa.
It's week 1. Solid team with a real good QB and one of the tougher places to play on the road.
agreed. They are another polar bear that will be fighting for for the same piece of ice that Wisconsin, Michigan St, and Iowa have been fighting for the last 20 years. They are one of those programs/ teams in my opinion. high 2nd tier.

I think it will be our 2nd toughest game of the season.
Based off of this game and watching Michigan, Iowa goes 2-1 vs Michigan, tOSU, and Washington. Loss coming bs tOSU but it will be close. Iowa 10-2 with loss to tOSU and a road game vs Minnesota or Illini. I see Iowa in the play offs if Iowa’s wins at Michigan and Washington are value wins.
If Iowa plays physical Iowa football we win it.
I’m not saying it won’t be difficult considering it’s always difficult to win out west, I just don’t think they’re any better than Illinois or even Minnesota.

Washington-Oregon has also kinda become the two schools' biggest rivalry.
that rivalry has always been only one way. UW thinks Oregon is a big rival. The feeling is not returned.
From an Oregon fan/insider:
Most fans, including myself, will say Washington. They're the school with the most similar resources within the same geographic region. We also continue to remain members of the same conference and play each annually.
Some fans, mostly older ones, will still say Oregon State. They are historically more of Oregon's peer. and prior to the 1990s, they probably were Oregon's main rival.
Conference realignment ended this debate IMO. Now that Oregon State isn't in the same conference and is part of the G6, it's Washington by a larger margin than it used to be.
It just seemed like a lot of off-script stuff, taking a lot of hits, ball not being protected, etc. Seems like Iowa will flock to him and could do some damage.
Also that was a 3-day weekend Sunday Funday, so I kinda forgot about this thread lol
