Know your pain was looking into the Ohio State game was thinking about flying in from Va trying to stay at one of the Marriott’s cause i have a lot of points. The Marriott’s all in IC are a 1000$ a night.
You might want to change your handle if you waited this long. On a serious note, have you called any hotels and put your name in for cancellations? Only problem is (I believe) in Iowa City/CVille you have 2 night stay mins. Also, ABNB or VRBO?
I've had CR booked for a while. Yes, the two night minimum stay is a thing. Even with a night game which is ridiculous.

Stay in the QC area. You won’t regret it after that QC pizza and drive over the new bridge while seeing the buffalo/bison bridge. Top notch.
Yah, unless you're among the one percent, staying in CR is just about the only option on any home football weekend. And it's really a pretty good deal. We've done it for years.
It's outrageous what the places charge, but they can, so they do. That's why it's amazing you can get a decent room for a fair price as close as Cedar Rapids.
Fly into moline and stay at the Merrill Hotel in Muscatine. It is a Marriott hotel. Try to get a river view.
That Bison Bridge is a real attraction. Some say it should be a national park.
I definitely make the hour drive, before I'd pay $1000 per night.....
The issue with CR is all of the hotels off 33rd are disgusting, and there isn’t much DT except the Double Tree (5 seasons center for the old school folks)
I’d recommend the hotels near the airport as they are fairly new and only a 20 minute drive to IC. Unfortunately there isn’t anything to do by the airport but NL has some nice spots just 10 minutes south (Field Day, Tin Roost, Bowl Dawgs, Red’s)
