So if we have a dozen big 10 level players how many will we get from the portal in the next two years?

RU lost 2 legit B1G players to the portal in Jackson and Vokolek. Who did we pick up that equaled their output?

The portal may hurt RU FB more than it helps. Hope that is not the case.

Here is the math:
Belichik highly values Rutgers coached players.
The NFL follows whatever Bellichik does.
RU Schiano players will be at a higher premium than ever before.
More talent heading to New Brunswick so they can be a Schiano coached player..
Schiano and Rutgers in the mix for conference championship by year four.

Good god man, get a hold of yourself.

Greg is going to get RU FB to leap frog the B1G East in the next 4 years? May as well write your concession speech now.

With the portal and jucos being more available, if we don't win 6 games in year 3, it will be disappointing.

You wee also certain Greg was being announced last Wednesday lol! Seriously though what makes you so sure if thiss?
Lol but I also said BEFORE Ash was fired that Gary would be our HC next season... But yeah I got some bad info about the date. I heard from somebody that I trust that JG is coming assuming the Schiano deal is completed which it obviously looks like its at the finish line. But again, this is a message board.. I dont believe much I see on it either so cant blame anyone for doubting lol.

I feel like this thread is ignoring the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Namely, will Schiano insist upon free hookers and blow for the first 1,000 fans into the stadium on game day?

If he didn't make that part of his demands, then I think he's lost his attention to detail.

I think you're going to have to lower your expectations a bit.

With all the money RU will have to lay out for Greg and his demands RU will give out either free hookers or blow but not both. Gonna have to choose bud.

As for me I just want to be able to walk in the stadium most Saturdays not believing I'm going to watch another 40 point butt whipping.

Here we go again, bowling next year put out there as a reasonable expectation. I see nearly half think we should be bowling in year 2. There may not be six wins in those two schedules combined. This board is going to be in meltdown mode for the next five years.

Over/under on the first "Fire Schiano" clamor? I'm thinking week 5 next year, although that's assuming they manage to beat current 3 win Syracuse in week 2. That's a toss up at best, though.

the projection is aspirational. You’re not going to aspire to having dips in your journey, even though it is likely.
You titled the thread "REASONABLE" not aspirational. You do understand the two words aren't synonymous, right?

The phrase is reasonable goal.
Do you know what a goal is? Goals should be somewhat aspirational Because no one rises to low expectations.

i hope we go bowling next year, but don’t expect it.
nevertheless, if someone expects to go bowling next year, all the power to them. By the same token, the fire Schiano clamor is probably inevitable, but not something I’m worried about. God Bless America!

"Goals have to be specific, achievable and measureable." -rutgersal
Yet when someone says the "goal" you lay out is neither reasonable nor necessarily achievable (although I certainly hope they are and will be), you say, well, they're aspirational.
I aspire for Rutgers to win the national championship every year. Every single year. Is that a reasonable goal? It sure is aspirational.

A realistic goal would be for Greg to prove the UMass game didn't how how the team really is and
RU has a winning record at the end of season along with a Bowl invite

Idiotic as usual from you. No one could have predicted NILs impact on the game.
Not true. There are plenty of teams who have predicted NILs impact on the game and capitalized on it.
Not true. He has not gotten the NIL support or Fieldhouse that he wanted
The winless team from last year who whopped our *** last week doesn't have a smidge of NIL/revenue share that Rutgers has. And does UMass have a fieldhouse?
