Black Out Alternate Uniforms Confirmed for Cy-Hawk

Assume helmets will only have the Tiger Hawk on one side.
If Campbell was there yet he would have his team blacked out too.
If you slow down the video, you'll see a small glimpse of the front jersey numbers, and they appear to be grey. These could be a fully blacked out uniform.
Didn't we wear similar against Ohio State in 2017?
They usually only do that (the red white and blue one) on the right side only for Veterans day weekend. Maybe with this being the 9/11 weekend but I don't think they've done that in the past.
No. Those were a totally different uni with grey trimmed sleeves and stripes down the side of the pants. The helmet was totally different in grey with the mini letter I's all over the surface of the helmet. Probably the best alt uniform we've had.
Why do we need them for Clown College? Save them for a game that means something

BTW: Not a fan of any alt unis, which are another result of too much money. You have school colors. You have tradition. Respect both. IMHO, of course.

Wins are equally important but some loses mean more than others. What's worse/better ....beating Albany and losing to OSU or beating OSU and losing to Albany?

Disagree. I think it will be a good look. I definitely like the solid black pants, rather than the black pants we’ve worn in the past, with the large gold stripe.
I wouldn’t think of it as a true “black-out” uniform, but rather a variation of the standard look, which is what I think they should be doing anyway. Teams should stay on-brand. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have more than two variations of your uniform. For Iowa, it could be any combination of black, white, or gold jerseys and pants (though I didn’t end up loving the gold jerseys we wore up at Minny a couple of years ago … but it was a cool thing to try).

My understanding is the uniform is all black with gray numbers. My response was to that report.
The school colors are black AND gold. That's the logic. It's not complicated.
Well, for one thing, Iowa NEVER wears yellow. It wears gold. The school colors are black and gold. You could even look it up on the U of I website and discover the technical details of the exact shade of gold, NOT yellow. OMG.
