If you haven't heard it before, I highly recommend Dylan's poem on Woody Guthrie. It is worth every second of your time.
While I doubt that anyone on this board will agree with me, I am partial to Warren Zevon's version. Warren was a flawed person and being so close to death, as he was when he recorded that, you can almost hear the realization in his voice that he may not be getting in.

Zevon’s version is the best IMO
I'm pretty much partial to anything Warren Zevon did.
I am big Warren Zevon fan, but I do think that Bruce Springsteen's cover of My Ride's Here and Amanda Shires and Jason Isbell's version of Mutineer are better than his.
That's one of the great things about music- different interpretations of the same song. I have several "favorite" versions of "All Along the Watchtower", for example.
Agreed. I am not a big Dylan fan but I really like My Back Pages and the talent of those playing it that night (30th Anniversary Concert) will never be matched. While I am a guitar player with very linited skills, Clapton is my inspiration. As an aside, a big regret I had with my recent open heart surgery was, after taking up the guitar and playing every day for over 7 years, I was restricted from playing for 8 weeks while my sternum healed. I'm back at it now and planning my tour dates.
