I watched the Texas/Ohio St game until half... Of course I can't watch my favorite teams play because they play like crap when Im watching. My wife asked why I stopped watching the game, I gave her the "look" and she said..."Texas losing I see!" She knows I have to stop watching in order for my teams to win!!! I did watch Bama beat Kentucky and I refused to stop watching because the day Kentucky beats Bama is the day Yellowstone erupts!!!! I watched Army choke... I should've stopped watching when Army got up by 10... I told the wife that Army would lose the game...

My take on the Longhorn/Buckeye game is... The Buckeye players, Leading by 20 going into the 4th, thought this game was over... and rightly so... The Buckeyes were the better team until the 4th! I felt my inner Woody Hayes boiling lol...

Kids today do not understand several things:

1. Don't waste emotion on stupid stuff like scoring a TD, catching a pass or making a tackle... You can only supply so much emotion before the pool is empty. I told players to act like you've done this before. It's not like you just did something that no one has never done!!!

2. Kids believe that a 20 point lead is safe. I had a couple of players at Pawnee say that all they had to do is walk on the field and win the game against Kincaid... We lost 28-21! The game is never over until the fat lady sings! We had the killer instinct back in the day... Put your foot on their neck until they give up... Yes, I'm happy that Texas beat Ohio St... The SEC is home so it was a good win but... Texas coaches better relay the fact that Ohio St let up on the gas... I believe had they not then the score would've been 34-10... at best...

This isn't new, you ever watch a 90s era FSU/Miami game? Every tackle was celebrated like a championship was won. The emotions were extreme the entire game.

Do you know the history of those players in those games... They were rival on and OFF the field. You bet your *** they celebrated because they wanted to rub the other players face in... Scheiße! You also remember how easily the yellow flags flew for excessive celebration... Something that never seems to happen in the entertainment of sports in America...

I am fully aware of the history. Flags were thrown more for late hits etc rather than celebrations, at least from my memory.
