Prediction on the Clowns making a bowl game this yr?

I don’t know their schedule, but they are well-coached for having minimal talent, and they play hard.
Assuming their schedule isn’t a murderer’s row, they could easily make a bowl.
Am I gonna have to accept that the old days of crushing them 15yrs in a row are forever gone?
Iowa has barely beaten and lost to some awful Iowa State teams but in the monster powder puff conference anything is possible i guess
Bowling Green next week is a W. Hard to think they can’t scrape out 4 more wins in their last 9 games. Not a lot of scary opponents on their ticket this year.
They will have to play like tonight or Iowa in 23’ to make a bowl. Great D, ball control limited mistakes. Tonight after early lead very Iowa esque shortening game not putting themselves in spot to make a turnover. But they will face much better offenses where they may have to put up more points in big 12. I say no 4-5 win team.

They have a good QB and a good and big line. They are coached well, and had us on our heels most of the game. They'll be a problem if they perform as they did tonight. IMHO I believe they will get a bid somewhere.
They'll go 7-5, at worst. They are much better than initially thought and their HC is good. Just because it's moo u, don't overreact.
I think they will squeak out six. That means a bowl game and vacation for their fans.
That means they have to play their next ten games as hard as they did vs. Iowa.
Unlikely . This was their chance for a statement win imo. They’ll likely get smoked next week and we will once again be left scratching our heads trying to figure out why we always play down to these dorks
In the end I suppose it doesn't matter. They are only clones.
It would be justice. So much thuggery from that team, and when I look at their coach...I don't know. There's something about the look in his eyes. I think Jack Nicholson could play him.
I doubt Bowling Green smokes them. After that though, they play some decent teams. My guess is they finish 6-6 and get a bowl bid.
So it's The Shining. Next year in Ames their fans will be chanting Redrum.
Hopefully, this series will be over in the future (when the Big 10 goes to 10 conference games) so you won’t have to worry about it.
Looking at schedule. Have bowling green then Utah at home next. Utah is destroying Arkansas right now and expect same against ISU. But clones have wvu after that before trips out west to byu and Arizona. Think wvu game massive for them as I expect them to be 2-2 going into that one. Lose that and chances of a bowl margins become very slim.
If the refs (particularly in first half) called the penalties on IA State (that they missed) this may not have been a close game.
However, they won’t play like it’s their SuperBowl every week, so that needs to be factored in.

Its possible they get to a bowl - but I still think they're a 3 or 4 win team. Our game plan was horrifying. Other programs that are peers are going to expose them. We never forced Iowa State to play offensive football and have Raynor throw into risky spots with the game flow and we played exactly into their hands on offense trying to run the football into stacked fronts and being very predictable. They often sent linebackers flowing to the LOS at the snap so that their momentum would have our linemen flying backwards into our play designs. Iowa needed to throw the football on first down until they stopped playing that way, could have had a lot of easy completions up the middle and to the tight ends if only our OC was smart enough to adjust. This was basically a carbon copy of the way Campbell's teams always played us.
83Hawk you were right all along. You were worried about getting the win while myself and others were expecting an easy win.
If the clowns play just one good football game in a season it will be against Iowa. It is their Super Bowl. The Hawkeyes will improve as Ferentz teams do. Iowa Silo U will not play in a bigger game.
Night game/primetime, biggest recruiting weekend in Iowa football history and brought a 5* basketball recruit to the game. Yeah, it's our superbowl, game means nothing to you. LOL.
yesterday not withstanding i think they are in for a tough year. likely overweighted for super bowl and they won't be allowed the same degree of thuggery in their conference games
The victorious Iowa Hawkeyes have had bigger recruiting weekends, but On3 people say several there last night are likely to sign with Iowa.
Oh, you may want to inform your English faculty at Iowa State College that "superbowl" is two words.
ISU playing 6-6 UNL in the someone has to win a bowl game.
