Finally, the season opener is upon us. So many questions about this very talented team. How will Sean Mannion do as OC? He's calling games from the press box, which is something Jalen hasn't experienced with an OC in the NFL. From all accounts, the Birds really did not show much from their offense this preseason, so we finally get to see how much their approach will vary from previous seasons. And most importantly, we get to see how Mannion responds to changing defensive moves during the course of the game.

@LionJim is curious to see how the the Commanders look in their season opener. Though for most Birds fans, we don't care how they look as long as the Birds win the game.

Please use this thread for all pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion of the 2026 Eagles - Commanders, Game 1.

Hoping for Jalen under center and lots of pre snap motion. Love to see a type of 49ers offense with motion and misdirection

3-0, Commanders, with 11:23 left in the 1st qtr.

Commanders score a TD, but the Birds (Jalen Carter) block the PAT.

14-9, Birds, with 1:53 left in the 2nd qtr.

Best drive of the game for the Commanders. Big play was a 3rd & 15. Birds blitzed, and Daniels stepped inside and scampered for 14.
