We're going to have a more explosive offense!?! Why? Well, Tim Lester seems to think we NOW have the horses on offense.

I know, I know...we will have to see it to believe it.

As you will see in the video that follows, Lester has a package of plays that he's never been able to run UNTIL NOW.

I am curious who he thinks those horses are.

Tim sure did a masterful job of hiding his playbook vs. Iowa State. That may have been the worst game he's called at Iowa. Almost no misdirection despite not being able to run the ball at all. Two QB sneaks into an 11-man brick wall. Brown fumbled on the 4th and 1 play but was lucky enough to recover. Brown also fumbled on a run up the middle but, again, the ball luckily bounced back up to him. Brown easily could have had two crucial turnovers.

As we saw with MG last year, when you have a QB who can run, the defense has to account for him, which makes it an 11 on 11 game. When you don't, the defense has an 11-10 advantage. Brown is not a running threat. Hecklinski is, so in his 27 years of wisdom, KF anoints Brown after giving Hecklinski half a game. QB "competition" over. Seems ridiculous from here.

It was worth a brag immediately following the game. That said, we followed that performance with only 284 against ISU. Classic Hawkeyes.

There's another brag on the way when we beat up UNI this weekend. Cool.
