2-0 final. 2nd ranked upset win in a row. Impressive. Doesnt get any easier with #3 OSU up next before a trip to the PNW to face the defending NCs in Seattle. B1G got stupid good quickly in both men's and women's soccer.

What a dominant first half up 2-0 and could have had a 3rd except for a tough offside call
Princeton had not given up a goal in like 5 games
Princeton with no shots on goal
Not as dominant second half but a 2-0 victory and now on to Big 10
Brutal schedule coming up #3 OSU Friday followed by defending national champion Washington

Wow! What the hell is going on here? I love it!
My thoughts:

1) We played well vs. SHOE and UCSB...very unfortunate to lose both...but we've been playing well for several weeks
2) Jim is still sorting out the lineup...some of this was forced on him (with Kitch lost for the season), some of it is integrating the new additions (who have been awesome btw)
3) I hope this comes across the right way... Kitch going down has forced us to play some other kids at the 9...and I think we're more dynamic as team vs. with a "target/holding 9"...we have been very dangerous
4) i know its early, but it seems that Jim and his staff are very very good at using the portal... in the past, getting Curt Calov, the German kid who left to UNC...both were instant impact players. Then the haul this year has been very very impressive. 6 and 7 (both sophomores!) play virtually the entire game. They are everywhere and have non-stop motors. 8 (from Fairfield) has made an impact in every game. 27 (also a soph!) came from UNC and has been super disruptive. And then of course the GK. There are a few others, but I focused on the main ones. Also - tho not a transfer, the freshman defender from Spain is gonna be very good. My point is that he seems to have done a very nice job constructing this roster. I am hoping that some of this recent portal/roster success has been due to more NIL support from Zinn, and if that's true, then the future could be really bright

I know (and agree) that the upcoming schedule is brutal...hope we can get some good results. I have always been a fan of McElderry as I feel like he develops players well, plays a great style of soccer, and seems like a very good guy.

I hope this positivity isnt the kiss of death! LOL

From what I’ve heard. Zinn is all in on sports that we should have a natural advantage. Not saying she’s not raising money across the board for all programs. But soccer, lacrosse, wrestling women’s basketball are sports She is focusing on for a quicker turnaround. And lower cost of entry.
