I’ve heard worse ideas.Love it--we can look at high profile games throughout the country. Cities like Boston, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Minnesota, DC, etc can host SEC vs Big Ten games to start the year.
I'm sure there's better but like @NittPicker said it would be similar to the Kick Off Classic...week one (or zero) would be high profile games that don't have a ton of meaning but would create interest. I'd have a Penn State vs Oklahoma or Ole Miss game in Charlotte or Baltimore which i know some of our southern residing fans would love since they wanted us to join the ACC. Neutral site...nice late summer travel around vacations...doesn't interfere with kiss celebrating holidays for a scrimmage.I’ve heard worse ideas.

It won't be--at all. Just like Ohio State losing to Texas won't hurt themWhy play in these? Even with 24 teams record will be super important. And to open the season? Pass.
