With competent officials who would have flagged (maybe even an ejection or two) the Clown dirty play and cheating this is what last week’s game would have looked like.

Good to play a tight, close game and win it at the end. Season starts next week.

Iowa should have played better last week, but Iowa State is infinitely better than UNI. UNI is terrible.
Agreed. Iowa learned more from their game last week than they likely did this week.

Iowa State is better than anyone thought or thinks... We were lucky to come out with a W last week... Rogers is a very good coach but he will bail the second he is offered another stepping job.
I agree with you about the first part on Rogers. Many fans seem in denial that Iowa State hired another good coach who almost took us out his first at bat in Kinnick.
Have no clue how long he will stay at Iowa State. I would think he would need a little time to establish himself like Campbell did. I do think he looked at the game with us as his statement game to the rest of the Big 12 and he almost pulled it off.
If the refs call that game correctly…Iowa could have easily won with a score something like 21-3. Oh well, it’s over…looking forward to rest of the season.
ISU won today 55-7 against a similar opponent. Perhaps they are better than many people expected going into this season.
Had a further thought about Rogers. The next step up from the Big 12 seems the SEC or Big 10. Rogers seems too early in his career for that level. Something tells me we will have him around awhile in Ames.
He is a nomad. He gone the second any SEC, B1G or hell even ACC school gives him an offer.

Yeah, I felt bad for UNI….it might be time for college football to keep FBS separate from playing FCS schools. If for nothing else, in the name of safety.
It certainly appears that they are much better than was projected based on the first three games.
Head football coaches don't go to Clown College to retire there, that's for sure.
And why would any of this matter?
