I don't think he can afford to shut it down if he wants to be drafted highly. He has to go out there against quality teams and show he can be effective or else scouts are always going to worry about his lingering injuries.
Just like last year, DS is held on every damn play. Refs just figure they cannot call it so often I guess.
Did he even play in the second half? He also still has that ability to blow right past the QB, I noticed.
Yes. The blocker simply has to let him take himself so far upfield, he takes himself out of the play if the QB steps up at all.
Had a blatant hands to the face missed and then we promptly give up a 3rd and 18 for a TD.
He came in the first half and promptly forced the QB into an errant throw on his first play.
Stewart has done anything but shut it down. He's played himself back to a top 10 pick.

Glad to see him contributing to the team. Notice he stopped having back problems and started playing when his professional career was being questioned. He realized he had to play. Hope he doesn't get complacent and decide to shut it down again.
Here's a couple of thoughts:
1) The OP is a Clemson troll. This thread is not worth responding to in that regard.
2) I doubt there was any shenanigans on his part / RE: his back. He seemed to be ready to play at the start of the season and has done nothing but contribute (outside of a boneheaded mental lapse which he seems to have handled correctly, imho)
3) I doubt he decides to "shut it down" now, as us continuing to win with him contributing to those wins can't be anything but good for him.
Not arguing with you, just sayin'.
That's a whole other topic / rabbit hole. You're probably right but.....apples / spaceships.
