They are already talking per usual. Everyone is all world and the big ten better lookout. Can’t wait to see them play MSU on the road next weekend.

I was surprised they scheduled Notre Dame. What was the point of backing out of Tennessee only to schedule another P4 team?
By 2031-32 Rhule will have their program humming and ready to take on a strong non- conference opponent....that's the theory,anyway.

I was just going to post something similar. They open conference play with Michigan State and Maryland, which they shoooooould win. But then it's #5 Indiana, #20 Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Rutgers, #7 Ohio State, and #17 Iowa. I don't see them beating any of the currently ranked teams, including Iowa, and they'll lose to Washington and/or Illinois. The only gimme in the second half of their season is poor old Rutgers, whose only win this season may come against Howard this weekend. I don't even think that's Howard University, just some guy named Howard.
Matt Rhule is 4-14 at Nebraska after the Huskers hit their 5th win of the season.
That Rutgers game is at Rutgers I think. They played USC to within a TD and Neb ain’t USC. I still say 0-7 until they prove me wrong.
They also lost to UMass... I watched that game, and they were dominated by a really bad team.
For sure. But teams do often improve and Schiano didn’t forget how to coach. I’m chalking that up as a Neb loss until proven otherwise.

True, and I get it. Transitive property doesn't apply in football. But in my defense, Michigan had everything go wrong in that game until literally the last second, while Rutgers just got manhandled.
What went wrong for Michigan is they got outplayed for all but .04 seconds of the game.

UMass went to the portal and they are not the same bad team that Iowa played last year.
They're still bad, but they're not in really bad territory anymore.
They're also 3-0.
Why should you be worried about Iowa playing Nebby when Iowa has spanked them like 10 out the last 12 games and the 2014 game was a mirage as Iowa had two 17 point leads in that game. Iowa's culture is just stronger and better than Nebby's.
Nebby's heyday goes back to when teams had high numbers of scholarships and you could have unlimited walkons basically. Every decent Nebraska kid would walk on the rules let county Nebraska fan clubs pay their tuition. That went on for years at the blue bloods. When all that ended and you get down to 85 schollies then things start to even out.
Also, Iowa has one of thee great defensive coordinators, usually great special teams, they are more mentally solid and make way fewer mental and physical mistakes. That is a winning formula
I would bet straight up that Mich St beats Nebby. I think it is at MSU and nebby plays like crap on the road these last 10-12 years. MSU looked tough against NDame for 3 qtrs.
