chiles was good at osu, not sure what happened with him at msu..having chip kelly as his oc will play to his strengths
Agree that NU is better than we thought....but....Georgia Tech is a crap show. 1-2 with their win against Mercer. They gave the game to Colorado on a late TD and then have a FG blocked on the last play of the game. I think Tech ends up a 4 win team. I guess we will find out Friday when to go to Indiana.

Colorado is bad their entire starting group is transfers. This is year four for Deion. That shows me he can’t identify or develop young talent. All programs need that to some degree.

I suppose that the converse of George Bernard Shaw's quote is also true; i.e., that is why great players (like Bart Star, Deon Sanders, etc.) do not make good coaches.
It all depends upon what you can recruit. Every school wants a Trinidad Chambliss or Sam Leavitt who can both run and pass at a high level, but those guys don't grow on trees. I'd rather have a great passer that makes good decisions and has good pocket awareness and can move around in the pocket to buy time than a so so passer with good wheels.
Georgia Tech is looking a little worse than expected, as well.
I think too many people slept on the fact that Northwestern only had a ho-hum win over a top tier FCS team in South Dakota State, and then sat idle for a week.
Northwestern is going to be a tough out this year, and for us especially, since we have to travel there.
