Final 2-1 Purdue. Too many long balls out of the back, as well as some weak individual play by one of our D backs in particular.

None of these 3 closed out the game. Russomanno and Johns barely got time in the second half, while a starting forward who missed several open nets didn't leave the game! Maybe the genius saw something everyone else watching the game didn’t. Not everyone has what it takes to lead a team to 6 wins in their last 20 games, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt!

Looks like the football team’s curse is rubbing off on Women’s soccer. Another blown lead.

Emma Johns provides nothing, but at this point, with how many good opportunities Reilly McGlinn squanders, and with how well Olivia Russomanno has been playing, MON really needs to flip flop their minutes.

Let’s hope he is gone at the end of the season!!

Agree on Johns & McGlinn. Was it Johns who got beat for the goal today?

MO is a terrible coach.

They won in spite of him for YEARS. I've said this year after year and the same people talked down to me like I was a disgruntled idiot or parent. I am neither.

This program should be top 5 in the conference on an annual basis. MO will be gone by December.

Let’s hope it’s right after the season hopefully football will be settled and she can concentrate on the Olympic sports

You would think by this point in his career, he would be able to read that during the flow of the game and make the necessary changes at the appropriate times. Unfortunately, well, he just doesn’t.

I don’t think he gets fired this year. They have enough Winnable games to make the B1G tourney. They don’t give up a lot of goals and who knows what happens come tourney time. They’ve shown they can hang with Washington, beat Oregon and I think Purdue might be the most improved team in the B1G He’s one of the highest paid coaches in the country. What’s his buyout.

He has one year left on his contract and buyout is $215,000 very doable

I understand where you're coming from but a few points...

This is not a reload or rebuild, this program has plateaued under MO. It's over. You can see by the abundance of talent around the country that's from NJ and not playing for RU. These young ladies don't want to play for him anymore.

This mentality of winnable games and we're right there is a large contributor to why our athletic programs and the athletic department are in such bad shape. I'm not blaming you at all and I really enjoy reading your input on women's soccer. IMO we need more accountability and higher expectations. You said it yourself with Purdue.... They look to be a very strong team. But why? Well I would point to philosophy and coaching. As a team Purdue has 39 goals and RU has 10 on the season. They have given up 5 and us, 12.

Do you see why recruiting has plummeted and talent is looking else where? The guy is cooked. Time to move on.

I doubt it — Johns plays at the 9 spot.
Dunne hasnt impressed me...she's clearly a specimen as a target 9...but...

I would play 22 there as much as possible...she's def not a holding/target 9, but I think she disrupts/impacts the game in a much more meaningful way. I am very impressed with her overall game.

that said, both girls are YOUNG so I dont want to be too harsh on them

in general, MON doesnt impress me as a coach. I have heard from people who know him well that he is a fantastic human being.

when you combine that with his strong track record...I think he deserves as much rope as possible to show he can get things back to where they were a few years ago.

After hearing what his buyout is I can fully see why he could be gone this year.
and I agree with everything else you said
I’ve stated multiple times, he is a lazy recruiter. You can’t say the top talent doesn’t want to go to RU because most are never even contacted much less offered.
