Yes but he wasn't under the tutelage of Chip Kelly. I feel like Chiles has really grown since arriving at NU and really "arrived" last night. Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I think things are really coming together with him. I bet Chiles has never felt so good after a victory as he did against the Buffs.
I'm reminded that he said something before the season that he felt it was a real privilege to be able to play in NRF but also to have the opportunity to play at NW Medicine Field which held a special moment in NU's history (not an exact quote). I remember being impressed by his excitement to be a part of historic opportunities. I think it would have been pretty easy for a guy to feel like playing in Tiny NW Medicine Field was just something that had to get out of the way. The comments by Colorado players that it seems like a library just magnified the delightful difference in attitude.
So far so good for Aiden Chiles taking advantage of historic opportunities.

Those are all valid points, but look at the link for stats from this game and tell me how, reasonably, Chiles would do better? I guess they might be converted into more scores and IU might score less

Remember that Chip, as Ohio State’s OC, hung 38 on Indiana in 2024. The personnel on both sides are different but the Indiana DC is still the same. So Chiles with Chip may be able to score a few. I’m more worried about whether our defense can hold up. That same year, we gave up 41 to them.

I don't expect us to knock off IU. That said, we really don't have any idea how good this year's version of IU is. Yes, they've destroyed a few cupcakes, but that can be misleading. We will be by far the best team they've faced so far. If we can keep it close going into the second half, we'll see what a little game pressure does to them.

We will find out if Cig's cupcake OOC schedule hurts them or not. Will we be able to throw some adversity at them? If so, will they be able to handle it?

Even if we lose to IU, if we can stay healthy, I like our chances in the next 4 games after that. Going into the Oregon game at 6-1 would be sweet.

I think there is a slight chance NU can beat either PSU or Indiana, or even both but I don't expect it. The important thing is beating the teams which we are suppose to beat and match up well against, which NU has done so far.
Two wild cards are in the deck
1) It's college football and stuff happens, momentum is huge, taking a team for granted can kill you. Lots of stuff.
2) We don't really know the capabilities of Chip and Jerry and how well the O can mesh with this system that honestly, we haven't seen anything like this since the spread was new and we were one of the few teams doing it. If Chiles and the O can make any noticeable improvement between this week and next, the sky is the limit.
What is more likely to me is that the O does improve gradually and Nu poses a bigger chance in the second half of the season than anyone dreamed of.

A win is extremely unlikely. One of our only hopes would be that Hoover was turnover prone at TCU and perhaps he just hasn’t been challenged enough in their 3 cupcake games to bring that tendency out. However, I don’t see us having the pass rush to be able to force him into those mistakes. If we did, I’d say our DBs could get the job done but I just don’t think it is going to happen without some unforced or uncharacteristic errors on their part.

The get-better-incrementally model was the pattern we'd see in Fitz's good years (often after an embarrassing OOC stumble), especially with Hank's D.
