RBs 1 and 2 for first road game

Kamari has a lot of experience and will almost certainly play as starter if he is healthy. But will the rust factor play a role in deciding whether to give lj (even if he is cleared) pretty much his first iowa carries in iowa's first road game? I'm thinking it will be kamari and nathan with a handful for jackson.

If Phillips remains out, Williams probably would be the short yardage guy. He's got more size than the others.

I think it should be Kamari and Williams. People seem to be enamored by the running style of the other backs, but I think Williams has shown the ability to break arm tackles and take it to the house more than any of them. Go look at his first long TD run. IMO, he's the closest runner we have in style to Shonn Greene.

Last year I noticed he has the most explosive three steps to the right of anybody while watching the Wisconsin game. Go look at his cut to the right yesterday for the TD to the north endzone. He's listed as 6'0 - 220, but he looks more like Greene to me at 5'-11" 230.

I'm confident in saying that every RB we've seen so far would do well vs. Michigan or anyone else IF, as is always the case, the O line gives them a chance. People talk about depth, and often in hyperbolic terms, but I saw a lot of speed, quickness, talent, and toughness from that stable of RBs who played Saturday. Yes, it was just UNI, but the backs showed talent and skill that translates against anyone if they're given any room to run.

OTOH, if Iowa's O line is as bad as it was vs. Iowa State, well, it won't matter much who the RBs are cuz they won't be goin' anywhere.

It was nice to see some of that misdirection on Saturday that was so blatantly missing vs. ISU. Misdirection will be one of the keys to getting the RBs some running room at Ann Arbor. Another key might be coming out throwing instead of stubbornly running into a brick wall like Iowa did so much vs. ISU.

For Evil to keep calling me a Nebraska and a Wisconsin fan is also uncalled for. I've asked him to stop several, several times.

So finally I told him every time he calls me something I'm not, I'm going to call him something he's not (assuming he's not a pedophile).

And he still won't stop. I really don't appreciate it. So what am I supposed to do?

Sounds like Evil is the one you should be asking to stop. Just like 2D. But for some reason you give the victim a hard time instead

If LJ is questionable we have the backs to play Saturday, and play well. But as others nave said we need a passing attack to work so the running game can work. I think it can happen Saturdar.

He’s especially dangerous on the check downs, dump offs. essentiqlly a long hand off and if he sees a crease he’s gone. I’d use him for a few of those against a Michigan this week.

Williams was healthy for the first time this year last week and it showed. Against a big, strong Michigan front 7, I'd like to see us use him more.

For us old timers, Williams reminds me alot of Jermelle Lewis. Same build. Same thick lower body. Lewis may have been a bit faster, but their running styles were very similar.

Old timers? Jermelle didn't play more than 25 years ago...let's take it easy with the name calling ;)

And usually I do keep my mouth shut. People call me all sorts of stuff all the time.

I've asked not to be called something other than a Hawkeye fan, though.

It shouldn't have to come to me getting the last word. I've given Evil a fair choice. And sometimes this is what he chooses.

And do you care to explain to me how I deserve to be called something that I'm not? And something that I've asked not to be called?

Tyler Brown was missing from the depth chart last week I think, but he played against UNI. He’s missing on this depth chart this week still as well. Still hope for those 2, but I think Iowa will be fine with McNeil, Williams, and Jackson. DJV is a bigger concern for me.

Don't care what people call me.

Just don't trust the ability of many on here to read carefully enough. And don't want other's actually believing I'm a Nebraska or Wisconsin fan.

I post my thoughts for a reason. And there's already way too much mischaracterizing on this board
