They've only played in Ann Arbor twice since then. I'm so glad conference expansion is a thing /s
And the hawks have beat Mich 5 of 6 times in Kinnick starting in 2009, hell of a nice streak that once again brings up the old saying be careful what you wish for as Mich pushed out Lloyd Carr and then the wolves became the kitty cats.
I was there and it was glorious!!
They won a national championship a few years ago. I don’t know if you’re aware of that.
ya thats kinda a weird take considering Carr went 7-5, 11-2, & 9-4 his last 3 years. No conference titles. 11-2 looks good but that was 3rd place in league. and he had lost 4 in a row to tOSU.

Yeah I know that but what the hell does it have to do with someone saying that 2010 was the last time the hawks won at Mich. My post was just to say Iowa has manhandled Mich in Kinnick since 2009. Kirk is 7-9 against Mich with Mich winning the last 3 games I believe so Kirk and the Hawks have done very well against mighty Mich.
I'm sick of losing to this team. We have been blown out recently because of horrid offense in the BTT games.
Was there. Tate Forcier came in and almost pulled off the miracle comeback. Finally was able to breathe easy when Meyer knocked in that final FG
And those outcomes were completely predictable. Thank God those days are over.
That 2022 game was much closer than it should have been, if Iowa had gotten a td with 6 minutes left, it would have been interesting.
And signal stealers. Funny how Harbaugh was on the hot seat until they started winning at the same time they started stealing signals
2023 BTCG we had the better defense and special teams. But our O had Deacon Hill.
Not only did our O have Big Deac, but it also had BF. Double whammy....
true, but i believe iowa's last road win over a ranked big ten team was in 2015
We held them to just over 200 yards but to no surprise they still out gained us. Minus their first fg drive every other scoring drive was less than 30 yards. Both tds their offense had to go less than 10 yards. Off punt return first half and fumble in the second. 2nd half all 4 of their scoring drives came off fumbles or turnover by downs with a short field.
If my memory serves.... Didn't they wisely go pretty conservative on offense too? They knew our offense wasn't going to do sh*t. Our best chance of winning was Defense and Special Teams scores.
Not that we have an all world offense now, but it's nice to think that we can actually move the ball and score now. Not hope to get the ball in FG range, so we can get 3 points.... What a wild time for hawk fans
And? Playing in the big ten west didn't give them many ranked matchups in general. I was simply pointing out that 16 years seems like a long time until you realize that they've only had 2 opportunities since then in AA.
After 2nd td they may have. I just remember it was 3rd qtr and I was like that’s game. Cause with that team 10-14 pts was enough to beat us if you also had a good D. But do remember our Defense looked great that night and read something after the fact Harbaugh said best D they played all year.
and my counterpoint was that they haven't beaten a ranked team on the road in over 10 years..winning on the road in college football is difficult, especially against a ranked team...iowa has had their biggest wins at kinnick, not on the road..your point is valid, but mine shows how iowa has performed on the road against ranked opponents with a 10 year window..
Big Ten team maybe, but Iowa State was ranked high when we rolled in and got Purdy benched and took their women and beer at their lil party.

Except that is a counterpoint to nothing that I said. I stated Iowa has had 2 games in AA since they last won in 2010. And that superconferences are dumb. Nothing about ranked wins. Merely that 16 years sounds like a long time but it's skewed by the fact that they've only played there twice since.
I'm also not sure what a 10 year road history accounts for. Road record beginning with the 2016 season is 0-9. So they've lost less than 1 ranked road matchup per season. If this were a professional league and the same guys kept running it back for an extended period that might mean more, but it's college and an ever rotating group of players.
