End of the PSU @ Miami game 1999. The Chafie Fields TD.

One of my all time favorite games. A bus load of us came up from Key largo. One of the best I ever attended,

Was at a wedding reception, in the bar with the boys, missed the cake thing. Come back stairs with a table full of wives with “that glare” at all of us.
Worth it on so many levels, PSU won in that fashion, wife never used against me in the future 28 years as they divorced in 2.

Games I have missed due to weddings: 48-14, 63-14, the 1985 Maryland game when Maryland was #7 and Sport Magazine’s preseason #1. Good times.
Rashard Casey would have never made that throw - he would have tried to run. Thompson was (obviously) the correct choice.

In 1998, PSU lost to Illinois at home, 27-0, and then lost at Michigan by same score of 27-0.
I can't think of another time when PSU got shut out at home, and got shut out two weeks in a row.

Not to be disagreeable, but PSU shut out Illinois in Beaver Stadium 27-0, then lost to UM by the same score in their house in 1998.
That '85 Maryland game was the hottest (105F) I've ever been to. After the game there was a small deli next to the stadium. and I grabbed 2 Qts of lemonade and downed them both.
