I think we all remember the glory days of KTC when every game was streamed live no question......maybe like 2013 -2017 or so....To me KTC has not been the same since Dan Grier passed away. I know Kevin and have always found him to be a pretty cool guy but maybe have a different online persona. Anyway, even if their coverage is a shadow of what it use to be its better than most counties .. and dang does the Shelby Star not even cover games anymore?

You know the pre-game show was all right, the game audio was good, I was going to give them their kudos on a job well done

So to everybody. I get it. I know KTC has it's issues. We all do. But maybe let's take a second and be appreciative of what they do for Cleveland and surrounding counties. I have absolutely nothing to do with KTC, but tell me another place or county in NC that has a dedicated pre and post game show to high school football. Is it perfect? No. Is it always good? No. Is it better than others have? Yes.
Agree…as bad as some of these radio shows are and have been over the years….always appreciated them.
Most of you CC boys are vicious about radio. Never seen such fire in your eyes until KTC is brought up.
One dude on there predicted Burns and Cherryville would go to OT. My issue outside of a few things are lack of knowledge of the teams they cover. I miss the old days postgame shows for nostalgic reasons with Lewis Carpenter, Andy Foster and crew. I don’t really deal with the broadcast for Burns because I’m at the games.
I absolutely agree that was a ridiculous prediction... Nobody in their right mind thought Cherryville would stay close to Burns (except him apparently the Cherryville fans)..... And you know I don't deal with the broadcast either except updating MaxPreps for us.... I'm just saying maybe we should appreciate what we do have...... And I will add, the "power rankings" or whatever they call it needs to just go away and they should just focus on the games.
Mainly Caldwell and Burke county schools. I think they cover any close team remaining in playoffs if we have no one left. They have a pre, post and sat morning show.
Yeah... knowledge and sanity I didn't speak about. Just glad somebody doing it for HS sports in any area in this overinflated/overexposed college and pro sport ridiculous era we are in.
