Right of the bat he starts talking about how much he likes Wisconsin (best they've looked under Fickell...... they're getting better every week..... I like them to win this weekend....). Neither b1g-shill homer Poggio or the B1G Today regulars said a word about PSU or their playing at home or PSU winning the game despite the fact that PSU is a heavy home favorite.

Despite playing overall good and spirted football, this PSU team has proved very little by winning its three non-con games, whereas Wisconsin played very well for a half against a really good team and then has dominated its other two rent-a-victim games.
Nobody really knows how good ND is either, so.
True; they didn't exactly look like a NC contender last week at home against MSU. However, I think that people perceive ND as a NC contender and then see how Wisconsin played competitively against them in the first half.
This brings up a larger issue that PSU needs to start playing at least one Power 4 non-con game every season rather than what they've done the past two seasons.
I'm being sarcastic here because ND was mentioned. In the minds of a bunch of Leprechaun's, they are contenders every year. Hate them now and forever. Scumbags.
For a half? That is like shooting 37 on the front and 53 on the back nine. Not really a great round but it could have been if I didn’t suck on the back nine or in Wisconsin’s case the second half. Which means they couldn’t hang with the big boys. Not like Notre dame is a big boy.
Well, considering how Wisconsin has played during Fickell's tenure, that's the only rationale about which I can think that would make an "expert" pick Wisconsin to win a de facto night game at PSU, not that they can't (see 2025 Nothwestern game).

Ridiculous that the b1g's Conference Network hires the poster-boy of the league's scUMiest program to share "his thoughts" regarding Conference teams (yeah, he clearly would not be opinionated and extremely biased - just well-measured analysis, LMAO.). Maybe Pizzo should have asked him what he thought about the Conference's screwjob of WMU in shamelessy protecting his former program? (Or his opinion of the league embarrassing itself with their self-serving, arrogant Public Release insisting the correct call waa made to the point that the NCAA had to make a very public statement that unequivocally stated that the correct call was NOT made, nor were the correct Rulebook Protocols followed which resulted in the b1g Officials reversing the outcome that should have been had the correct call (and protocols) been followed/made. Instead, when Homer Biff was asked to provide analysis and prognostication about "undefeated" scUM vs undefeated Iowa his insightful comments were that he thought scUM's QB has really come on the last two weeks and is playing really good football.... he "likes Michigan getting the W in this one..." [insert eyeroll]. This Conference is so pathetic.

I don’t know if it’s a bias or not, but it’s pretty obvious we’ve been on the losing end of the “upset of the week” predictions for quite a while. Funny thing to me is that we were rarely upset under JF and nobody picked us as the upset of the week last year at UCLA or vs. NW. They’re wishnosticators.
Not that this matters to anything, but PSU now is on a seven game winning steak going back to last season that includes wins over MSU, Nebraska and Clemson. Other than IU and ND, that's probably one of the longest current winning streaks.
Our last loss was to eventual champion Indiana. Of course, we lost 5 in a row prior to that. SMH.
Remove the OSU game, which we had no hope of winning. We lost the other 5 by a combined 16 points. All very winnable games.

We lost the three Big 10 home games to a playoff team, the eventual NC and Northwestern by a combined 10 points.
That Indiana loss was so bad. I'll never forget our d-lineman flopping around on the ground celebrating a sack of Mendoza on the final drive, while IU was lining up for the next play that went for big yards. Hopefully, this program will have much better football awareness under coach Campbell.
I have to agree. I'm not sold PSU can stop a good running game. Secondary is good. Other than that, I'm not sure? Also let's see what happens when Rocco gets pressure?
Becht has the most starts of any college qb this season; he's been there and done that and had a pretty good career. If he stays within the game plan, he should be fine.
We have a bigger interior d-line than last season, so I think that we'll be fine against the run. If they can stay healthy, which is a big if, I like this defense.
I thought initially we would see a much more disciplined team this year. Now I am not so sure.
PSU roster talent ranks inside top 20. Wisky above 40. Game experience...not even close and PSU is hosting. It could be dicey for 2 -2.5 quarters but PSU will pull away to a 14 point win or better.
Upset picks don't really mean anything. If you get it right you're a genius. If you're wrong no one cares at all.
Picking Penn State after 3 cupcakes is logical more than disrespectful especially with Howard and Rapp's statuses unknown. I think we win. I think it's comfortable but the next four weeks all seem like viable options to pick against us.
