Bob Pettit, who starred at LSU and then in NBA, dies at 93

Bob Pettit, who was named an All-Star in each of his 11 NBA seasons and was one of the greatest scorers and rebounders in league history, died, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame said Thursday.

It’s not that I don’t care it’s that I’d never seen him play, have seen very few videos of him. His Hawks were the last team to win the NBA championship (1957) before the Boston deluge.

Terrific post player. Great jump shot. Tremendous defender. Pettit was instrumental in building the popularity of the NBA.
