For Cowboy fans like me who are eager to see some wrestling early, the Who's Number one event will provide that.
So far, of the ten weights announced our recruit #1 Michael Romero at157 is scheduled to wrestle #2 Mac Crosson.
Here are the ten matches announced as of 9/18/26.
106 Kooper Deputy v. Luke Loren
138 Dean Anderson v. Gavin Mangano
165 Melvin Miller v. Cam Howard
144 Jesse Grajedo v. Braylor Reynolds
175 Jayden O'Farrill v. Zack Aquila
157 Michael Romero V. Mac Crosson
132 Grey Burnett v. Paul Kenny
136 Sammy Sanchez v. Landon Sidun
190 Mario Carini v.Salah Tsarni
150 Jason Dube v. Clinton Shepherd
I expect there will be one or two more weights to be announced shortly including Heavyweight.
Several of the matches will be re-matches including 157 where Romero won a close match.
I have my tickets and expect a large crowd at GIA on 9/26.

"He" did write this by mistake. BTW the final two matches have been announced and there will be no Heavy weight match. 215 will be #2 Jimmy Mastny vs. #4 Mick Moylan and at 113 will be #1 Analu Woods vs #2 Evan Restivo. The girls matches will begin at 2pm with the Men's beginning at 5:30pm.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen any kind of promotion about this event from David/Stilly Boys/the university. I’d have thought there would been a push to make it well-attended as a showcase for recruits.

So many guys on the card are committed. Sanchez is well aware of Stillwater. Some who aren't are heavy Penn st leans with Restivo , Farrell and Howard. Dube is one but he's a 149/57 and Oklahoma st has guys there I could see him at a big 10 school

Probably not important on many fans agenda due to the OK State/West Virginia football game which starts at 6PM and the Men's WNO starts at 5:30. I am going but I hope the PA will give us scores from the football game. Sanchez is very good but with Zinkin and Ramirez backing up Spratley do we have room for another 125 pounder? Of course their weights may change in college.

And with Raney probably being a 133 with a Jax a 141 down the line I agree getting Sanchez might not happen.

Anyone know whether we can leave GIA and return during this event? I’m guessing not but it’ll be a 6 hour commitment if I get there for the entirety of both the boys and the girls sessions. They better have a good beer selection!

Michael Romero lost to the Iowa kid, 2 to 1 with position choice after Romero took an injury timeout after he was hit in the head fell down and his opponent was on top of him for the take down, but time was called but apparently Romero called for injury time which added up to a few seconds but his opponent then got choice of positions taking down and escaping. Romero was not impressive but is obviously a good wrestler but the Cowboys have grown where you may have to be a real good wrestler to start. Not sure any of our 2027 recruits will ever start for us regularly.
