The guy’s only 62 years old. Seems pretty young for a coach to be retiring. Jay Wright’s the only other one that comes to mind immediately.

I don't get it. Why announce now? Is this another 'quiet forced retirement', like Dr. Tom? And didn't the year in advance announcement tank Iowa's recruiting? Again, doesn't make a lot of sense.
