I’m at the game. I’ll be honest. With a 0-3 team and this crowd it’s embarrassing. And to not even do it right? Insult to injury . I drove a long way for this lol

No. School can't get out of it's own way and does everything wrong. Can't have any traditions if we keep changing it every other week. We killed off Knight Pulse after years of success with it. We tried to kill horse video but fans revolted and they brought it back. Game day ops is abysmal
We're saving on the fireworks budget tonight.
Total incompetence everywhere in this athletic department. It’s like a virus will take a long time to fix if ever. Yes where Re the fireworks after TD. Horse is a joke, watch Okalhoma or Texas Tech horse, USC or FSU. Ours looks like he got shot in the battlefield and is limping home. Then they cut ut off before he makes it to midfield to show some random video an intern made this week in the office. Pathetic
Traditions? It screams stale.
Greg kaboshed a good intro song that would have been a great tradition by now.
15-20 mph winds and you want fireworks? Imagine the PR when a fire starts from wind blown debris.

It's not that windy here and hasn't been for much of the tailgate and game.
Not nitpicking. I was at the game last week and the dumbass ops guy was blaring music during Rutgers offensive drives. It’s such a Mickey Mouse operation.

They brought in the Maryland marketing guy on 9/10 & he's certainly not up to speed, and I'm not even sure he's going to be the game day guy v

That's no excuse to at least not continue what's been going on. This is embarrassing and abysmal. They can't even play a song longer than 30-45 seconds before cutting it off to jump to another.

Sopranos was a great show. One of the best shows in our lifetimes. It was 25 years ago. Kids now don’t care or know it. Is what it is. Same with Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Metallica and AC/DC. All memories of our era. What 18 year old wants to hear that ?
I thought Schianos put his cousin in charge. Or maybe it was his son? Nephew?
There were like 10 people in the stadium……Also the Sopranos video is cringy.
At least the Cannon operators earned their money tonight !

It might not have worked last night, but what if there were an incentive to get in to the stadium early? Money talks. Give everyone a X% discount on food and merch up until kickoff. And as far as ops, keep it simple! There doesn’t need to be a gimmick between every play. It’s like baseball games now where there’s something between every pitch. Annoying. Act like a big-time program. Time for a new PA guy too (sorry, Joe).
Fire the PSU grad that plays loud music and the train whistle right up to the defensive play and does not allow the crowd to get loud.
Game day ops should be the easiest thing in the world for the birthplace of college football.
If it were me- I would completely step it back- go hard college traditional experience. You can modernize it a bit and amp it up go back to basics.
Keep the cannon and make sure it is amped up near the opponents sideline as well.
If you want to pump sound into the stadium during play- amp up the band. But do not pump in crap at levels that are painful. And find a way to get the fans to make the noise you are looking for.
Most of all- understand the damn game of football - When we have the ball- no pumped in noise but make sure you are doing something to get the students and fans loud after a good play but just as quickly- bring it down again as soon as we are in the huddle. And then when we are on defense- on a 3rd down play- get rid of that damn guitar swoosh and just get it loud. And please please please - find a way to get the fans in sync with one of the coolest things in college football- the RRRRRRRRRR UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU when it is done right, it is both haunting and intimidating.
Quite honestly- just have whoever is in charge, watch the 06 L'Ville game...

The Scarlet Knight riding in on Excalibur brings a pageantry to Rutgers football program that makes coming to a Rutgers game special. With so little else going for the team this season it is foolish to minimize the pageantry. It is a part of Rutgers!
