Why would Kasak be suspended when at least one proper source said he did nothing. It's not happening unless he was involved. He's most likely being sought as a witness at this point if he was there. You don't suspend players for doing nothing wrong.
Furthermore, there is an appeals process at Penn State for athletes.

Simply a response to the idea that a lawyer has anything to do with it, not talking about a school suspension, but a team one. Not saying he should be, but depending on the situation just being in a bad situation could earn him a "you dont deserve to start right now" designation from Cael.

A lawyer can be involved in the appeals process for legal advice, they simply cannot speak during the appeals process.
So you think a lawyer is gonna influence Cael on who starts at a given weight? Share some of what you are smoking.
Being at the wrong place at the wrong time hardly grounds for benching someone, unless some team rule violated.
But it can be grounds for an arrest. Look what happened to a lot of people who were in DC on J6 just to sightsee.

If Davis did get into a scrap, it might not go well for him. Most of us know it’s not wise for someone to get into a fight with a well trained college wrestler. It’s possible that someone got a bad beating.
Which would be very unfortunate. I know someone personally who was a top tier wrestler in his college years who got into a scrap and hammered someone pretty badly. Charges were filed against him and the DA used the fact that he was a top level wrestler against him. He ended up paying a substantial fine and got off on probation since he had no prior record.
Maybe tikk or one of the other attorneys posting here can chime in, but assuming Davis was involved in something, he might find himself with serious legal issues depending on what happened.
Don't forget that in this day and age true freshmen can be 20 years old.

Recall Davis had Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition for his prior public intoxication / wrestling with police incident. The deal is if you keep your nose clean for a period of time, it is expunged from your record. If not, it’s like violating probation iirc. Not sure how long ago that was and how long he was supposed to stay clean.
I’m sorry to bring even worse news, but, the State College PD has released the following picture, asking for help identifying these three young men, who are charged with unknown crimes on wrestling mats all over the nation! I looked, but, I have no idea who they are.
To be fair there are a lot of differences in the situation that are already apparent:
- happened at 2 am, not 10 pm
- instead of family being involved, this is involves college teammates as either accessories or witnesses
- perhaps most importantly, BD has multiple documented “incidents” in his history.
I don’t know any details yet, and probably won’t for a few days at least, but I think speculation that this is “not good” for Braeden is pretty fair at this point.
Even for @Corby2 - who usually sticks to his “innocent until proven guilty” schtik, but mysteriously hasn’t posted that yet despite numerous posts here. It took only about three posts for him to trot that out there after Ferrari got caught crawling under the garage door - maybe BD needs to up his antics to something worthy of a felony to get him on his side

Braeden’s prior case no longer shows on the UJS portal, suggesting it’s already been expunged.

Maybe I'm missing a report of injuries sustained in this case. Can't say I'm following it all that closely where I am right now. Short of that, this seems less than McKenna.
With the exception of Davis being an (alleged) repeat offender. That needs to be addressed, even if it turns out he did nothing (as unlikely as that seems).
I am of the opinion that what these students do is none of my business.

Don’t forget that intent is always part of the equation. I know of a guy who held up a convenience store with a pellet gun and it still cost him two good years.

From my retired police officer perspective, the only thing I can say is be careful who you hang out with, especially if alcohol is going to be involved. Don't forget the old proverb, "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." If something serious did occur, hopefully the "non-combatants" in this case don't get lumped in with the active participants. Everything so far is just assumptions on our part, even the alcohol assumption I posited.
I thought last year was not a good sign that things were trending in the right direction.
I'm sure originally the plan was for Braeden to redshirt but to do the right things off the mat and stay ready. Everyone laughed at Cael glancing over at Braeden when asked if he was managing his weight and staying ready and Braeden confessing he didn't but it's clear Cael overall wasn't super amused.
Braeden was a lot better than he showed at 141 last year but it's clear he wasn't going to get into tournament and match shape in 2.5 months.

Typically one year but i have seen some at 6 months. If he gets new charges during that period he would get resentenced on the original ARD

This game was bad though. The play calling at the end of the 1st half was especially perplexing.
This game isn't close if whisky QB wasn't colorblind and throwing at all the PSU defenders.
