Gotta give props to Hank. When his number was called, he delivered. And RVZ has been waiting for his moment, and he's had big ones before, but this is career defining.

It’s one of the best Iowa wins in the past ten to fifteen years.we return the least snaps in the bigten on the road against a team full of four and five stars. Refs giving them all the calls. KF still beat their ***.
Just finished watching the game. Nobody told the score. What a fvcking game.I used to feel that way also... after many years everyone I know now understands that I'm totally cool if they schedule something during a Hawk football game and they know in advance why I'm unable to attend.

I didn't see any prevent D, just a great offensive play to a well covered player who was all over VZ, actually had his arm for a split second, before the perfect back shoulder throw/catch. Likely the second greatest non FG, game ending play, in my 65 years of watching the Hawks. # 1 Marv Cook, # 2 McNutt was just eclipsed...
And if this doesn't prove that throwing down field works and wins games, I don't know what does.
I havent rewatched the play prior to the injury timeout yet. Was Iowa indeed trying to run a fake spike? Who knows what might have happened but if so, you have to feel like karma definitely played its hand in that timeout.
It looked to me like they were. That final 91 yard drive had plays that it seems have gone against the Hawks in the past. Injury, deflected pass for a completion, personal foul etc. Last pass and catch still has this 78 year old checking his heart!
