To begin with - Love Shane Beamer as a "person", love his passion, .... know he cares. BUT, he doesn't have the capacity to make THE decisions when they need to happen. We all should have known there was a problem when we passed the ball against Towson for 92 yards. Sellers is a RB in a QB jersey. Clearly, he can't read defenses and does not look at all 3 or 4 reads ... his first reaction is to run after the 1st read doesn't work. That does not work in big boy football/SEC Conference. He has no future at any level as a QB, ... perhaps a TE or RB at the next level. Sorry to say.
We have a TE's coach trying to run a mid-level SEC team. Folks, we need to accept this fact ... Florida/Tennessee/Auburn/Vanderbilt/Alabama/LSU/Ole Miss/Texas/Texas A&M ... all have more horsepower and better coaching (SUPPORT) than we do - at least in Football. We are at best a mid-level team. We should have never left the ACC. I started watching Gamecock Basketball in 1969 as a young boy - Frank MacGuire (sp) was my hero - have pulled for them for 57 years. Best thing we could do is leave and go to another conference. We NEED a new Head Football Coach (TONIGHT).... Take the beatings that we need - get Cutter Woods in there even if we don't score. The upside is far better than #16 RB that we have over center. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. What an embarrassment we were today. Before the game began I texted my other 3 Gamecock friends and said, we lose by 30 points....I was wrong....make that 31 points.
