Oak Lawn vs Richards. We will see how far OL has come. Proud of the last 2 seasons. Wouldn’t call it the Battle Of The Oak Lawn. Richards gets kids from Robbins & Cal Park
Eh, probably Bama/Miss State... we can act like, until the game kicks off, that Iowa has a chance against Ohio State... but they in the business of finding new jobs for D-Coordinators these days... so good luck, Hawk fam...
Glenwood/MacArthur... Mac with a chance to prove they belong in the conversation. Glenwood to prove the same... ? Maybe... Idk... Just seems like an interesting one for the CS8 this year.

CCHS/Marist:
CCHS seldom plays well @ Marist. Blue vs. Orange. Bad loss vs. Iggy. Hopeful the Corsairs rebound to at least make it competitive. Thankful we have a winnable game remaining to qualify for post-season football.

I must confess that until seeing this comment, I never connected the dots that CCHS was Carmel. I thought it was Chicago Christian. I was perplexed as to why Marist would be playing them.
The why on LA/SI is that SI is playing really good ball and so is LA. I think this game will tell us a lot about how good SI is. I think we know LA is pretty good. The “Go set the world on fire” bowl Chicago edition might shed more light on how good both teams are. St. Ignatius of Loyola….pray for us!!

Looking forward to Du-Pec Byron as well- is the BNC as bad as it seems and Du-Pec benefitted from a soft schedule or will this be a competitive game between 2 top 10 3A teams.

BMAC (5-1) vs Wheaton (6-0) - BMAC didn't look great last week and Wheaton has a pretty good defense. Wheaton 28-7
Byron (6-0) vs DuPec (6-0) - Is DuPec for real? Byron beat them handily BOTH times they played last year. This game also obviously has seeding implications in the 3A North bracket. Byron 42-14
St Joe Ogden (6-0) vs BCC (5-1) - Very similar scores between common opponents besides the Tolono game (BCC lost to them). SJG 35-20
St Pats (5-1) vs JCA (4-2) - Intriguing game for both. I feel like ST Pats hasn't really beaten anyone good. They have a chance to change it this week and next. JCA is quietly 4-2 but their final two games are tough (MC and IC). 5-4 is better than 4-5. JCA 24-17
IC (6-0) vs Benet (2-4) & Loyola (6-0) vs Iggy (5-1) - Keeping an eyue on both of these to make sure both take care of business. IC 42-7/LA 35-14
I'd like to see a 7-0 IC vs a 7-0 Loyola next week. Will IC play their starters if that's the case??

I think so as well but I’m sure there was some input for this week’s game plan.
I’m somewhat curious to see what Providence looks like this week. Maybe, just maybe if they play MC extremely close it makes providences admin look like they made a good decision??
