I did too, I was pleasantly surprised as a JCA fan. It just points to how many levels there are in the overall conference. I guess Pat's had not played the most difficult schedule (other than MC) up to this point.

JCA squeaks by DePaul but obliterates Pats. Pats squeaks by ND then ND obliterates DePaul. Are these four teams playoff contenders or pretenders who can luck into a good draw, win some, then get eliminated in a blowout? The middle of the CCL is confusing.

The ND/DP game was closer than the score indicates. ND gave up a 20 point lead. DP was a 2 pt conversion away from tying the game in the 4th Q. ND put together a nice drive and pick 6 to push the lead to the final.

ND turned the ball over twice including a pick 6 in the 3 Q on top of poor tackling to let DP back in. The Dons clean that up and this would be a very convincing win. As it is I’m happy they responded well after a tough loss to SP. Very interested to see how we match up with SF next week. Go Dons!!

JCA’s defense is good enough to win a championship for sure. The offense still has plenty of room for improvement.

so they aren’t yet one of the teams I would put in the top handful of 6a contenders, but they definitely could and should win at least a few playoff games. But to compete with Naz or Fenwick (if they get a rematch) or geneva or Kankakee the offense will have to be more dynamic to have a chance. They have some nice playmakers on the edge, some tight ends, a quick soph back, and a bruising senior back. But they are much smaller than usual on the offfensjve ljne and are very young at the most important position on the field.
