OSU was not playing backups. Did you miss Sayin take 2 shots to the end zone with 2 minutes left? For OSU playing back ups and moving to zone? Doubtful.
I don't think backups played yet or at all. He moved the ball way better than hank. Hank missed a lot of passes. Heck was flawless. For OSU playing back ups and moving to zone? Doubtful.

Thought I heard on the radio call that a few back ups had come in. But doesn't change that OSU seemed to shift to a zone scheme making it easier to get open.I don't think backups played yet or at all. He moved the ball way better than hank. Hank missed a lot of passes. Heck was flawless.
However, Hank did miss some open receivers today, so I say the QB “controversy” is back on.Thought I heard on the radio call that a few back ups had come in. But doesn't change that OSU seemed to shift to a zone scheme making it easier to get open.
I didn't go back and check but...I don't think backups played yet or at all. He moved the ball way better than hank. Hank missed a lot of passes. Heck was flawless.
Ive said all year that Heck is the better QB against good defensive teams, because he can complete the risky throws. But Hank is the better game manager and less prone to the INT.Should he start against Wash? Yes. Will he unless Hank is out? No.
I’ve seen plenty of turnover worthy plays out of Hank Brown. He was lucky to recover his own fumble against Iowa State and also would had thrown a pick 6 if not for a tipped pass. Should have had 2 turnovers today, but Evan James bailed him out.Ive said all year that Heck is the better QB against good defensive teams, because he can complete the risky throws. Thanks, I missed his interception. I don’t understand why everyone has decided Brown has better ball security just because it was said once last year.He did have 2 turnovers today
Sayin plays defense?OSU was not playing backups. Did you miss Sayin take 2 shots to the end zone with 2 minutes left?
Of course we will.So do we give him a shot against Washington?
That might have contributed to the decision to not even try for a final series and just let it run out.Kirk's worst nightmare became reality today.
Majority of starters were still in and man vs. zone is irrelevant. Ohio State plays mostly zone anyways, and were in zone on Hank's last pick. What's your point? For OSU playing back ups and moving to zone? Doubtful.
I didn't go back and check but...
OSU played man most game and it shut down our pass game. Hank went full desperation retard on the pass attempt, OSU simply took advantage. Man or Zone absolutely matters, and it proved it on the drive with Heck.Majority of starters were still in and man vs. zone is irrelevant. I have the answer. It's because they can't pass for crapIt doesn’t matter who’s the starting quarterback if they can’t figure out how to run the damn ball.
I thought Heck looked sharp in his performance, but I'm not sure what your response has to do with what I or Hawkeye Gamefilm posted.im really not sure what this has to do with accurately throwing the ball at open receivers
They mixed in man with zone all day, they played both. Including zone on Hank's first turnover and his last interception. It was mostly zone on 1st and 2nd downs, and then a lot of man on 3rd. It appeared they went man on Heck's PI play to Vander Zee but I'd have to watch it again.OSU played man most game and it shut down our pass game. The point is a single drive of Heck when the game was well out of reach and basically a scrimmage isn't an immediate cause to change QBs. Both Hank and Heck are bottom 5 QBs in the B1G, take your pick, both will disappoint you.
Yes, and today would have been the perfect game to see significant playing time from the next Drew Tate.Small sample size but Heck was throwing dimes on time today. Passed the eye test, give me the next Drew Tate pls.
I thought TL finally had all the missing pieces to really open the playbookI have the answer. It's because they can't pass for crap
We hear that every yearI thought TL finally had all the missing pieces to really open the playbook
Yes, because he is 50.Peyton Manning could come in and play for Iowa next weekend, and we’d still struggle
I spelled it out, so if you can't figure it out, then that's on you. Heck's single drive in a game that was already over means very little. Like always, we have a QB problem. And that won't change until Kirk is gone and a revamp is made on offense. So again, not sure what your point is there.
Just like a politician. Heavy on what you want to hear but light on delivering. We hear that every year
